1999 Alamo Bowl
The 1999 Alamo Bowl featured the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Texas A&M Aggies. Derek Fox started the scoring for Penn State, with a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown. In the second quarter, quarterback Rashard Casey threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Eddie Drummond. After a scoreless third quarter, Rashard Casey scored on a 4-yard run, to put Penn State up 21–0. Travis Forney then capped the game with a 39-yard field goal. Eddie Drummond
Edward Matthew Drummond (born April 12, 1980) is a former American football wide receiver and return specialist. He was signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2002. He played college football at Penn State. A Pro Bowl selection with the Lions in 2004, Drummond has also been a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Locomotives. Early years Drummond attended the Linsly School in Wheeling, West Virginia and was a letterman in football and track. The Alamo Bowl is an NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision college football bowl game played annually since 1993 in the Alamodome in San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas. The Penn State child sex abuse scandal concerned allegations and subsequent convictions of child sexual abuse committed by Jerry Sandusky, an assistant coach for the Penn State Nittany Lions football team, over a period of at least fifteen years. Gerald Arthur Sandusky (born January 26, 1944) is an American retired college football coach and convicted serial child molester.
