1999 2. Divisjon
The 1999 2. divisjon was the third highest football league for men in Norway. 22 games were played in 8 groups, with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Hamarkameratene, Sandefjord, Strindheim and Tromsdalen were promoted to the First Division through playoffs against the other 4 group winners. Number twelve, thirteen and fourteen were relegated to the 3. divisjon. The winning teams from each of the 19 groups in the 3. divisjon, and some number-two teams, were promoted to the 2. divisjon. Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. Tynset Idrettsforening is a Norwegian sports club from Tynset, Hedmark. It has sections for association football, team handball, cycling, judo, orienteering, speed skating, skiing, swimming, and taekwondo. It was established on 15 September 1900 as ''Tønset IF'', and the name was modernized to ''Tynset IF'' in 1923 at the same time as the club adopted association football. Østsiden IL
Østsiden Idrettslag Fredrikstad is a Norwegian sports club, based in the city of Fredrikstad. The men's football team currently plays in the Norwegian second division. The club was formed as Østsiden IL on 14 June 1935, and includes football and handball branches. The name "Østsiden Idrettslag Fredrikstad" was introduced after a merge between Østsiden IL and the handball club Fredrikstad HK on 29 November 2007. Notable former players on Østsiden IL's male football team include Jørn Andersen and Egil Olsen. The team reached the quarter finals in the Norwegian Football Cup in 1962, after beating FC Lyn in the fourth round. IL Runar
Idrettslaget Runar is a Norwegian sports club from Haukerød in Sandefjord. It has sections for athletics, handball, football, and cross-country skiing. It was established on January 7, 1949. Athletics Its athletics section is known for its prominent long-distance runners. Olympic competitors Gunhild Halle Haugen and Marius Bakken represented IL Runar, and so did Susanne Wigene for a limited period. Local rivals in both handball and athletics are Sandefjord TIF. Handball The men's handball team currently plays in the first league of Norwegian handball, and was relegated from the first league in 2006–07 season, but they soon returned to the first league again. Fredrikstad FK
Fredrikstad Fotballklubb (also known as Fredrikstad or FFK) is a Norwegian association football, football club from the town of Fredrikstad. With nine league championships and eleven Norwegian Football Cup, Norwegian Cup wins, FFK is one of the most successful clubs in Norwegian football. The club was founded in 1903. After suffering relegation from the then 1st division in 1984 1. divisjon, 1984, Fredrikstad spent 18 years outside the top flight, before returning to the top division in 2003 after two successive promotions. Fredrikstad stadion was FFK's home ground between 1914 and 2006. However, its facilities were outdated and the club moved to a Fredrikstad Stadion (new), new stadium on the other side of river Glomma. Sarpsborg Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Sarpsborg, Viken. It was founded on 8 May 1903. Sarpsborg is one of the most successful teams in the Norwegian Football Cup, with six titles and twelve finals in total. In 2007, the club merged into the club that is now called Sarpsborg 08, and today Sarpsborg FK is an amateur club playing in the 4. divisjon, the fifth tier of Norwegian league system. History Sarpsborg played their first cup final as early as 1906, which they lost against Odd. In 1917, in Sarpsborg's third final, the club won its first title after Brann was beaten 4-1. Norwegian reserve football teams compete at all levels of league football within the Norwegian football league system apart from the top two divisions, Eliteserien and 1. divisjon. The highest league these teams can currently enter is the 2. divisjon, set at the third tier of the league system. The reserve teams are attached to their first teams with a "2" suffix and must play in a lower league than the first team. Furthermore, if a club's first team plays in the 1. divisjon, the reserves team cannot play in the 2. divisjon either. If a reserve team ends up at a promotion spot when it is not allowed to be promoted, the promotion is awarded to best following team in the league standings which is allowed to be promoted. Also, a reserve team is forcefully relegated, regardless of the final league position, if it is no longer qualified for playing at that level - i.e. if the first team is relegated to a league level where the reserve team's level is no longer allowed. Kvik Halden FK
Kvik Halden FK is a Norwegian football club, founded on 19 June 1906. The club plays in the 2. divisjon after their promotion from the 2018 3. divisjon. In 2010 they contested a playoff to win promotion, and succeeded by beating Eik-Tønsberg 5–1 on aggregate. In 1997, a merger between the two Halden-based clubs FK Kvik and Halden FK resulted in the formation of Kvik Halden FK. Long before the merger, FK Kvik was informally known as Kvik Halden anyway, to avoid confusion with the other FK Kvik from Trondheim. FK Kvik was the older and better of the two, but Halden FK had a rather large base of young players. The merger was controversial, and has been criticized by some who claim that the result of the merger was that FK Kvik simply took over Halden FK. Kvik Halden's only major trophy came in 1918, when the club (then FK Kvik) won the Norwegian Cup, defeating Brann in the final.
