1998–99 Ukrainian Amateur Cup
The 1998–99 Ukrainian Amateur Cup was the third annual season of Ukraine's football knockout competition for amateur football teams. The competition started on 25 October 1998 and concluded on 17 June 1999. This also was the first season of amateur cup football competitions that was administered by newly created (in 1998) Ukrainian Football Amateur Association. Teams ''Notes:'' * Druzhba-Klib Ukrainy two years ago played as Druzhba-Elevator * SC Truskavets last year played as Spartak Truskavets Three regions that were represented last season, chose not to participate in the competition among which are such oblasts Cherkasy, Rivne, and Kiev City. Instead there returned representatives from three oblast among which are Khmelnytskyi, Kiev, and Odesa as well as two new oblasts Luhansk and Poltava. FC Fakel Varva
FC Fakel Varva is an amateur Ukrainian football team based in Varva, Chernihiv Oblast. The club competes in the Chernihiv oblast competition as ''Druzhba-Nova Varva''. The club was sponsored by the Hnidytsi Gas Refining Factory located in a village of Hnidytsi, Pryluky Raion. The factory is part of the Ukrnafta state corporation. History The club was formed in 1963 as Fakel Varva. The team spent a short stint in the Ukrainian Second Division. After several successful seasons, the team's administration decided to withdraw from the professional league and return to the Chernihiv oblast competitions. The club is also well known as a competitive amateur club. The club has won the Amateur Cup and the Championship the next season. The club plays its home games in the Yunist Stadium in Varva. FC Arsenal Kharkiv is a football club based in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Arsenal Kharkiv currently plays in the regional competitions of Kharkiv city. FC Beskyd Nadvirna is amateur a Ukrainian football club from Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. The club played only one season on the non-amateur level. The name of the club is after one of the mountain ranges in the Eastern Carpathians. Overview The club was created back in 1927 as Ukrainian club and played in lower leagues of the Lwow District League. Following the World War II and annexation of Western Ukraine (southern portion of the annexed Eastern Poland), the club was reestablished as a Soviet club Naftovyk Nadvirna. FC Sokil Berezhany (formerly FC Lysonya) is a Ukrainian amateur football club based in Berezhany, Ternopil Oblast. History The club was founded in 1982 and plays in the football championship of Ternopil Oblast. The team were the champions of Ternopil Oblast in 2000 and 2001, while they finished second in 2009. In 1992, the club played in the Ukrainian Transfer League under the name "Lysonya" (named so after the mountain near Berezhany), but after two seasons the club was renamed to Sokil (Ukrainian for "Falcon") and returned to amateur football.
