The 1998 UCLA vs. Miami football game, played December 5, 1998, was an NCAA college football game held between the UCLA Bruins and the Miami Hurricanes at the Orange Bowl, the home stadium of Miami. The game had large implications as UCLA was assured a spot in the Fiesta Bowl with a victory; that season, the Fiesta Bowl served as the site for the BCS National Championship. After trailing 38–21 late into the third quarter, Miami stormed back to stun the Bruins 49–45. Bob Toledo
Robert Anthony Toledo (born March 4, 1946) is an American former college football coach and player. Toledo served as the head coach at University of California, Riverside (1974–1975), the University of the Pacific (1979–1982), the University of California, Los Angeles (1996–2002), and Tulane University (2007–2011). He resigned as head football coach at Tulane on October 18, 2011. On January 10, 2013, he was named offensive coordinator at San Diego State University. Toledo retired from coaching after the 2014 season. Playing career Toledo played football at Lincoln High School in San Jose, California. He was the starting quarterback from 1961 to 1963. The Big East Conference was a collegiate athletics conference that consisted of as many as 16 universities in the eastern half of the United States from 1979 to 2013. The Florida State–Miami football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Florida State Seminoles football team of Florida State University and Miami Hurricanes football team of the University of Miami. The 1998 Arizona Wildcats football team represented the University of Arizona during the 1998 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led by head coach Dick Tomey in his twelfth season, the Wildcats captured a 12–1 record (7–1 against Pac-10 opponents) during the year. Edgerrin Tyree James (; born August 1, 1978) is an American former professional American football, football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. He played college football at the University of Miami for the Miami Hurricanes football, Miami Hurricanes. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts fourth overall in the 1999 NFL Draft.
