The Arizona Diamondbacks (colloquially known as the D-backs) are an American professional baseball team based in Phoenix. Jeff Montgomery (baseball)
Jeffrey Thomas Montgomery (born January 7, 1962) is a former Major League Baseball relief pitcher. During a 13-year baseball career, he pitched from 1987–1999, primarily for the Kansas City Royals. Professional career Montgomery played collegiate baseball at Marshall University. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 9th round of the 1983 MLB draft. He made his debut with the Reds on August 1, 1987, at age 25. He pitched a total of 14 games, including one start. He was considered a marginal prospect, and the Reds traded Montgomery to the Royals on February 15, 1988, for Van Snider, an outfielder who would go on to only play 19 games in the majors. Kansas City installed Montgomery in the bullpen, and he appeared in 45 games, posting a record of 7–2 with a 3.45 earned run average (ERA). Allen McDill
Allen Gabriel McDill (born August 23, 1971) is a former left-handed specialist in Major League Baseball who pitched from 1997 through 2001 for the Kansas City Royals (1997–98), Detroit Tigers (2000) and Boston Red Sox (2001). McDill attended Arkansas Tech University. In 1991, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League. In a four-season major league career, McDill posted a 7.79 ERA in 38 appearances, including 11 games finished, 28 strikeouts, 18 walks, 38 hits allowed, and 34⅔ innings of work, without gaining a decision or save. Christopher Deane Haney (born November 19, 1968) is an American former Major League Baseball left-handed pitcher. He pitched from 1991–2000 and in 2002 for the Montreal Expos, Kansas City Royals, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, and Boston Red Sox. Haney is the son of former catcher Larry Haney. Haney's son, Jacob, pitched from 2017-2022 at the College of William & Mary. He attended Orange County High School in Orange, Virginia.
