1998 FIFA World Cup Group F
Group F at the 1998 FIFA World Cup comprised Germany and Yugoslavia of UEFA, Iran of the Asian Football Confederation and the United States from the CONCACAF region. Germany and Yugoslavia both started well by beating the United States and Iran respectively. The United States were then eliminated with a match to spare after losing to Iran, while Germany drew with Yugoslavia. Iran needed to win their final game against Germany to qualify but were defeated, which meant that Yugoslavia would still have qualified even without their victory over United States. Germany's two goals against both the United States and Iran put them top on goal difference. Goran Đorović
Goran Đorović ( sr-Cyrl, Горан Ђopoвић; born 11 November 1971) is a Serbian retired footballer who played mainly a central defender but also as a left back. In his country, he played for Prishtina and Red Star. He spent the rest of his career in Spain after arriving there in 1997, representing Celta, Deportivo and Elche. Slobodan Santrač
Slobodan Santrač (, ; 1 July 1946 – 13 February 2016) was a Serbian football manager and player. He is the all-time top scorer of the Yugoslav First League with a total of 218 goals, as well as the top scorer in the history of OFK Beograd. As manager, Santrač reached the knockout stage at the 1998 FIFA World Cup with FR Yugoslavia. Club career Born in Koceljeva, Santrač grew up in Gornji Milanovac, starting out at local club Takovo. Darko Kovačević ( sr-Cyrl, Дарко Ковачевић) (born 18 November 1973) is a Serbian former professional footballer who played as a forward.
