The 1998 CAF Cup was the seventh football club tournament season that took place for the runners-up of each African country's domestic league. It was won by CS Sfaxien in two-legged final victory against ASC Jeanne d'Arc. CS Sfaxien
Club Sportif Sfaxien ( ar, النادي الرياضي الصفاقسي) is a Tunisian professional association football club founded in 1928. History The club was founded in 1928 as ''Club Tunisien'', playing in green and red stripes. The team was promoted to the Tunisian First Division in 1947. In 1950, the first supporters group was founded by Béchir Fendri, and in 1962 the club was renamed " Club Sportif Sfaxien " and team colours were changed to the current black and white stripes. CSS celebrated their half-centenary in 1978 by winning the Tunisian League title, largely thanks to the impressive performances of their Tunisian internationals, notably Hammadi Agrebi, Mohamed Ali Akid and Mokhtar Dhouib. Real Tamale United, often abbreviated as RTU, is a football club based in Tamale, Northern Region of Ghana. The team previously competed in the Ghana Division One League, after being relegated to the second tier in the 2013–14 Ghana Football Leagues Division One League. Daring Club Motema Pembe, or simply DCMP for a short, is a Congolese football club based in Kinshasa. History Created in 1936 under the name Falcon Daring, by the Rev. Father Raphaël de la Kethulle de Ryhove who was a missionary of the Congregation of Scheutistes. He recruited most of its players among college students Sainte-Anne in Kinshasa (currently Elikya college). The DCMP was renamed CS Imana in 1949 before assuming the name of Daring Club Motema Pembe Imana (Imana DCMP) in 1985.
