1997–98 A.C. Fiorentina Season
Associazione Calcio Fiorentina came off second best in a competitive battle for fourth in Serie A. Under Alberto Malesani's leadership, Fiorentina played an attacking 3–5–2 formation, where goal scoring duo Gabriel Batistuta and Luís Oliveira scored an accumulated 36 goals between them. Following the end of the season, Malesani accepted an offer from Parma, thus departing the club after only one season in charge. Sensationally, Giovanni Trapattoni became his successor, remarking that Fiorentina was serious about winning the league. ACF Fiorentina
ACF Fiorentina, commonly referred to as Fiorentina (), is an Italian professional football club based in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The original team was founded by a merger in August 1926, while the actual club was refounded in August 2002 following bankruptcy. Fiorentina have played at the top level of Italian football for the majority of their existence; only four clubs have played in more Serie A seasons. Fiorentina has won two Italian Championships, in 1955–56 and again in 1968–69, as well as six Coppa Italia trophies and one Supercoppa Italiana. Domenico Morfeo
Domenico Morfeo (born 16 January 1976) is a retired Italian football player, who played as midfielder, usually as an attacking midfielder. Throughout his career, he played for several clubs in Italy, and also spent short spells at many top Italian clubs. At international level, he represented the Italy national under-21 football team. Davide Dionigi (born 10 January 1974) is an Italian football coach and a former player. He was most recently the manager of Serie B club Cosenza. Career Player Dionigi started his career at hometown club Modena and played 20 games in Serie B. He then signed by A.C. Milan and played on their youth team. He then transferred to Vicenza (Serie B), and in November 1993 left for Como. He won promotion with Como partially by his 14 goals. In summer 1994, he left for Reggiana of Serie A, but in November 1994 he left on loan back to Como, this time at Serie B. In summer 1995, he signed for his third Serie A team, A.C. Francesco Flachi (born 8 April 1975) is an Italian former professional footballer, currently playing for Promozione amateurs Praese. A striker, during an 18-year professional career in which he amassed Serie A totals of 137 games and 42 goals, he played mainly with Sampdoria. He was also suspended twice for doping. Andrei Antanasovich Kanchelskis ( uk, Андрій Антанасович Канчельскіс; russian: Андрей Антанасович Канчельскис; born 23 January 1969) is a professional football manager and former player. He was most recently the manager of Navbahor Namangan in the Uzbekistan Super League. During his playing career, he won two Premier League titles in England and two Scottish Premier Leagues.
