Istora Senayan
Gelora Bung Karno Sports Palace ( id, Istana Olahraga Gelora Bung Karno, abbreviated as ''Istora''), the formerly name ''Istora Senayan'' is an indoor sporting arena located in Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Jakarta, Indonesia. The capacity of the arena after 2018 reopening is 7,166. This arena is usually used for badminton tournaments. Its maiden event was the 1961 Thomas Cup. It was also used during the 1962 Asian Games and was renovated to host the 2018 edition. Its first post-renovation event was the 2018 Indonesia Masters. During the latter Games, it hosted the badminton and later stages of basketball events. The arena originally was planned to stage the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup and becoming the only Indonesian venue in the three-country joint bid but was moved to a newly-built arena inside the complex. Qin Yiyuan
Qin Yiyuan (; born 14 February 1973) is a Chinese former world level badminton player. Qin played internationally for China from the mid-1990s through the 2000 Summer Olympics, a period during which her fellow countrywomen Ge Fei and Gu Jun dominated international women's doubles play. Qin won women's doubles at the 1996 China Open, 1997 Thailand Open, 1998 Denmark Open with Tang Yongshu, and at the 1999 Thailand, French, and Denmark Opens, and 2000 Swiss Open with Gao Ling. She was a bronze medalist at the 1995 IBF World Championships and a silver medalist at the 1997 IBF World Championships with Tang Yongshu. She earned a bronze medal again at the 1999 edition of the tourney with Gao Ling. Hendrawan
Hendrawan (; born 27 June 1972) is an Indonesian badminton coach and former player. Personal life Hendrawan began to play badminton at 10 years old and began his top-level career at Cipayung National Training Center. He retired from the Indonesian team in 2003. He married his longtime girlfriend, former player Silvia Anggraini, the sister of Hendra Setiawan, on January 7, 2001. The couple has two children, daughter Josephine Sevilla and son Alexander Thomas. Peter Rasmussen (born 2 August 1974) is a Danish badminton player. A former World Champion and European Champion, Rasmussen ranks among the best Danish badminton players of all time. Heryanto Arbi
Michael Ludwig Hariyanto Arbi (born 21 January 1972) is a former badminton player from Indonesia who rated among the world's top few singles players in the 1990s. He is the younger brother of Eddy Hartono and Hastomo, who were also world class badminton players. Career The hard smashing Arbi was arguably the most internationally successful of an impressive cadre of Indonesian singles players who were his contemporaries. These included Ardy Wiranata, Joko Suprianto, Alan Budikusuma, Hermawan Susanto, and Hendrawan. Curiously he never won the open singles title of Indonesia which Wiranata dominated in the nineties. Alexander Alan Budikusuma Wiratama (born 29 March 1968, as Goei Djien Phang; ) is a former Indonesian badminton player who excelled at the world level from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s.
