1997 Tri Nations Series
The 1997 Tri Nations Series was contested from 19 July to 23 August between the Australia, New Zealand and South Africa national rugby union teams. The All Blacks continued their unbeaten record to win their second tournament. New Zealand won the Bledisloe Cup against Australia for the third year in a row. It took a 1–0 lead from the first test (played before the Tri-Nations), and the two Tri-Nations tests gave it a 3–0 final result. 1996 Tri Nations Series
The 1996 Tri Nations Series was the inaugural edition of the rugby union series test matches that determined the Tri Nations Series Champion amongst Australia, New Zealand and South Africa national rugby union teams. It was contested from 6 July to 10 August and the All Blacks defeated the Wallabies, in both tests, thus retaining the Bledisloe Cup won, the previous year. Stephen Larkham
Stephen Larkham (born 29 May 1974) is a retired Australian rugby union professional player, currently in the role of head coach for Brumbies. He spent his career with the Brumbies in Super Rugby, for whom he played from the inception of the professional Super 12 in 1996 through 2007. He is best known for his long tenure with the Wallabies at international level, for whom he played 102 times. After initial selection at fullback from 1996 to 1997, Larkham was the first-choice Australian fly-half from 1997 to 2007, playing in the 1999, 2003 and 2007 Rugby World Cups. Ben Tune
Ben Tune (born 28 December 1976) is a former Australian rugby union player. He played most of his rugby career on the wing but later switched to outside centre. Early career Tune was born in Brisbane and educated at St Paul's School, Bald Hills and played his junior rugby for Brothers/Teachers North. He went on to play for GPS Rugby. He played for the Queensland Reds in their inaugural Super 12 season in 1996, making his debut against the Highlanders. Wallabies Tune made his test debut in 1996, playing Wales. Tune was an important member of the national side that claimed the 1999 Rugby World Cup in Wales, even scoring a try in the final against France. Edward Francis Morrison (born 6 September 1951) is a former English rugby union referee. He refereed the 1995 Rugby World Cup Final. In 1998 he became England's first full-time professional referee. He was given an award by the International Rugby Board for distinguished service in 2001. Morrison first retired from refereeing in 2003. Christian Cullen
Christian Mathias Cullen (born 12 February 1976) is a retired New Zealand rugby union player. He played most of his rugby at fullback for New Zealand (the All Blacks), for the Hurricanes in the Super 12, and for Manawatu, Wellington and later Munster at provincial level. Jason Little (rugby Player)
Jason Little (born 26 August 1970) is a former Australian professional rugby union player. He won 75 caps with one as captain playing at centre for the Australian rugby union side between 1989 and 2000. He also won caps on the wing later in his career. George Gregan
George Musarurwa Gregan AM (born 19 April 1973) is a retired Australian rugby union player, and is currently Australia's most capped international player. Gregan was born in Lusaka, Zambia. He played Super 12 (now Super Rugby) for the Brumbies from the inception of that competition in 1996 through 2007, helping to lead them to overall victories in 2001 and 2004.
