American League Central
The American League Central is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. This division was formed in the realignment of 1994 by moving three teams from the American League West and two teams from the American League East. Its teams are all located in the Midwestern United States. Along with the National League East, the AL Central is one of two divisions in the Major Leagues in which all of its members have won a World Series title. Jeff Ware (baseball)
Jeffrey Allan Ware (born November 11, 1970) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who currently serves as the bullpen coach for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He also played in parts of two seasons with the Blue Jays in 1995 and 1996. Ware attended First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Old Dominion University, where he played college baseball for the Old Dominion Monarchs. During his time in the minor leagues with the Knoxville Smokies, Michael Jordan hit one of his three career home runs off of him. In early 2015, he was named as the pitching coach for the Class-A Lansing Lugnuts. In 2021, Ware was appointed to serve as the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons pitching coach. Greg Hansell
Gregory Michael Hansell (born March 12, 1971) is a former baseball pitcher. Career Hansell played for four different major league ballclubs during his career: the Los Angeles Dodgers (1995), Minnesota Twins (1996), Milwaukee Brewers (1997), and Pittsburgh Pirates (1999). He made his major league debut on April 28, 1995, and played his final game on October 3, 1999. On December 7, 1999, Hansell was purchased from the Pittsburgh Pirates by the Hanshin Tigers of the Japan Central League. Bryce Bettancourt Florie (born May 21, 1970) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. Florie pitched for four teams, the San Diego Padres (–), the Milwaukee Brewers (1996–), the Detroit Tigers (–), and the Boston Red Sox (1999–), and finished his career with a 20–24 record, two saves, and an ERA of 4.47. Florie's pitch selection included a sinking fastball from the 92-93 mph range, a slider, and a changeup. Florie is remembered for suffering a facial injury that occurred on September 8, 2000 in Fenway Park. The Yankees' Ryan Thompson hit a line drive off Florie's face, causing multiple broken bones and eye damage.
