McDonald's Championship
The McDonald's Championship (sometimes called the McDonald's Open) was an international men's professional basketball club cup competition that featured a representative of the National Basketball Association (representing North America) against champion club teams from Europe, the National Basketball League (representing Oceania), and South America. The first competition was held in 1987 and continued annually after that until 1991, when the tournament switched to a biennial event. For the first two years, the men's national teams from Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union participated. In each of the nine years the McDonald's Championship was held, the title was won by a team from the NBA, but twice by a close margin. Randy Brown (basketball)
Randy Brown (born May 22, 1968) is an American retired basketball player and former coach for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Brown was a guard who played at New Mexico State University and the University of Houston. Professional career Brown was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the second round of the 1991 NBA Draft. He played four seasons in Sacramento, scoring 1,349 points, but he would become best known for his tenure with the Chicago Bulls. Brown signed with the Bulls in 1995, and he provided valuable energy and aggressiveness off the bench during the Bulls' second "three-peat" (1996–1998). A fan favorite, Brown was also one of the few veteran players who stayed with the Bulls after the 1998–99 lockout. Rusty LaRue
Rusty LaRue (born December 10, 1973) is an American basketball coach and former professional player. He was a multi-sport athlete who played basketball, baseball, and football at Wake Forest University. LaRue played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors. He won an NBA championship with the Bulls in 1998. LaRue began his coaching career after his playing retirement in 2004. He was an assistant coach for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons basketball team under head coaches Dino Gaudio and Jeff Bzdelik from 2009 to 2014. Dante John Calabria (born November 8, 1973) is an Italian-American former professional basketball player and coach. He is currently the head coach of Bethel Park High School in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. College career Calabria played college basketball at North Carolina under coach Dean Smith from 1992 to 1996. Keith Booth
Keith Eugene Booth (born October 9, 1974) is an American basketball coach and former National Basketball Association (NBA) player. Booth played college basketball at the University of Maryland from 1993 to 1997. He was an assistant coach at his alma mater under Gary Williams from 2004 to 2011. Joe Kleine
Joseph William Kleine (born January 4, 1962) is a retired American professional basketball player who played fifteen seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and for the US national team. He won a gold medal as a member of the United States men's basketball team at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. In 1998, he won the NBA championship as a member of the Chicago Bulls. Scott Burrell
Scott David Burrell (born January 12, 1971) is an American basketball coach and former player who is currently the men's basketball head coach at Southern Connecticut State University. He has played internationally and was also a professional baseball player. In 1990, Burrell was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays of MLB. He played in Minor League Baseball during the 1990 and 1991 seasons. After ending his baseball career, he was drafted in 1993 by the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA. Ron Harper
Ronald Harper (born January 20, 1964) is an American former professional basketball player. He played for four teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA) between 1986 and 2001 and is a five-time NBA champion. Early life Harper was born and grew up in Dayton, Ohio. Ron and his twin brother were the youngest of six children raised in a single-parent household by their mother. She worked several jobs to support the family, including as a school teacher and on an assembly line at a General Motors plant. Jason Andre Caffey (born June 12, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player who won two championship rings with the Chicago Bulls in the late 1990s. He later became the head coach of the American Basketball Association's Mobile Bay Hurricanes. Toni Kukoč, nicknamed ''“The Waiter”'' (; born September 18, 1968) is a Croatian-American former professional basketball player who serves as Special Advisor to Jerry Reinsdorf, the owner of the Chicago Bulls.
