The 1997 Iraqi Perseverance Cup ( ar, كأس المثابرة العراقي 1997) was the 2nd edition of the Iraqi Super Cup. Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya
Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya ( ar, نادي القوة الجوية الرياضي, lit=Air Force Club) is an Iraqi sports club based in Rusafa District, Baghdad that competes in the Iraqi Premier League, the top-flight of Iraqi football. Founded in 1931, it is the oldest existing club in Iraq. Its football team is one of the most successful in Iraq having won seven Iraqi Premier League titles, most recently in the 2020–21 season, which it won alongside its fifth Iraq FA Cup title. Ahmed Daham
Ahmed Daham Karim (12 October 1967 – 29 December 2021) was an Iraqi football manager and player who played as a midfielder. He represented the Iraq national team in the 1996 Asian Cup. Coaching career Daham signed for the Naft Maysan Naft Maysan SC (also known as Naft Missan) ( ar, نادي نفط ميسان, lit=Maysan's Oil) is an Iraqi professional football club based in Amarah, Maysan that competes in the Iraqi Premier League, the top flight of football in Iraq. Penalty Shoot-out (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Overtime (sports)
Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament. The golden goal or golden point is a rule used in association football, lacrosse, field hockey, and ice hockey to decide the winner of a match (typically a knock-out match) in which scores are equal at the end of normal time. It is a type of sudden death. Under this rule, the game ends when a goal or point is scored; the team that scores that goal or point during extra time is the winner. Ahmad Abdul-Jabar ( ar, احمد العبدالجبار جاسم) (born 8 January 1978) is an Iraqi former Iraq national football team football player who is currently manager of Al-Karkh SC. Ayoub Odisho Barjam ( ar, أيوب اوديشو; born 15 December 1960), is an Iraqi Assyrian people, Assyrian former football player and coach of Al-Zawraa SC, Al Zawraa in the Iraqi Premier League. Playing career Ayoub was a tough tackling full-back, who played for Al-Talaba during a playing career that spanned 14 years. Hashim Khamis Hassan is an Iraqi football goalkeeper who played for the Iraq in the 2000 Asian Cup. He also played for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya. He is known as Hashim Tayara ( aeroplane).
