Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is a Canadian consumer packaged meats company. Its head office is in Mississauga, Ontario. History Maple Leaf Foods is the result of the 1991 merger between Canada Packers and Maple Leaf Mills. Canada Packers was founded in 1927 as a merger of several major Toronto meat packers, most prominently William Davies Company and was immediately Canada's largest food processor, a title it would hold for the next sixty years. Already in the 1930s, it used the brand name ''Maple Leaf'' for its pork products. Paul Dobson (curler)
Paul Dobson (born May 30, 1979, in Saint John, New Brunswick) is a Canadian curler from Quispamsis, New Brunswick. He currently plays second on Team James Grattan. Career Dobson won his first New Brunswick Tankard in 2005 as second for Wade Blanchard. They defeated Russ Howard in the final. They finished in eleventh place at the 2005 Tim Hortons Brier with a 3–8 record. The following season, he began skipping his own team with Scott Jones, Ryan Porter and Pierre Fraser. The team won the 2007 New Brunswick Labatt Tankard, defeating Howard in the provincial final, and finished last at the 2007 Tim Hortons Brier only able to win one of eleven games. Dobson continued to play in the provincial men's championship but failed to win from 2008 to 2019. He joined the James Grattan rink for the 2019–20 season. Kevin Francis Whitehead (born April 27, 1952) is an American jazz critic and author. Biography Born in New York City, Whitehead studied at Oswego State University in New York, then earned a Masters in American Literature and Culture at Syracuse University. He began writing in the early 1970s for the short-lived magazine '' Oswego County Times''. In 1979, he wrote his first record review, for Joni Mitchell's ''Mingus''. Since the end of the 1970s, Whitehead has been writing regularly on jazz, including for the NPR program Fresh Air with Terry Gross since 1987, as well as for newspapers and magazines such as ''JazzTimes'', ''Chicago Sun-Times'', ''Chicago Reader'', ''Down Beat'', ''Village Voice'', and the ''Volkskrant''. Jamie Koe
Jamie Koe (born November 3, 1977 in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories) is a Canadian curler. He has played in 14 Briers, representing the Northwest Territories/Yukon team and three Briers representing just the Northwest Territories. At the 2012 Brier, he became the first skip from Canada's north to make the playoffs at the Brier since the addition of the playoffs in 1980. He is the younger brother of Alberta curler Kevin Koe and twin brother of Territories champion Kerry Galusha. Bryan Burgess
Bryan Burgess (born January 30, 1977) is a Canadian curler from Thunder Bay, Ontario. He was a member of the Northern Ontario team at the 2001 Nokia Brier. He currently coaches the Dallas Burgess Junior team. Burgess was a member of the Al Hackner rink from the late 1990s to 2002. In 2001, Burgess won his only Northern Ontario provincial title, playing third for the team. At the 2001 Brier in Ottawa, the team finished with a 5-6 record. Burgess curled 79% during the tournament. Except for playing for Hackner in 2007-08, Burgess has skipped his own team since 2002.
