The 1997 Arab Super Cup was an international club competition played by the winners and runners up of the Arab Club Champions Cup and Arab Cup Winners' Cup. It is the fourth edition and was won by Egyptian side Al-Ahly. It was also the first time that the host team had not won the championship. OC Khouribga, the hosts, were runners up. Samir Ibrahim Kamouna ( ar, سمير كمونة; born 2 April 1972) is an Egyptian football coach and former player who manages El Minya SC. A former defender, he played for the Egypt national team. Hassouneh Al-Sheikh
Hassouneh Yousef Qasem Al-Sheikh ( ar, حسونة يوسف قاسم الشيخ; born 26 January 1977) is a retired Jordanian footballer of Palestinian origin. Retirement Hassouneh retired internationally after playing the match between his country Jordan and Kuwait in the 2010 WAFF Championship, in which he entered as a substitute for his teammate Ahmad Abdel-Halim. That match resulted in a 2–2 draw. A friendly match was played between his country Jordan and Uzbekistan at the Amman International Stadium on 13 August 2012 to mark his international retirement.
