Mike Krzyzewski
Michael William Krzyzewski ( ; born February 13, 1947), nicknamed "Coach K", is an American former college basketball coach. He served as the head coach at Duke University from 1980 to 2022, during which he led the Blue Devils to five national titles, 13 Final Fours, 15 ACC tournament championships, and 13 ACC regular season titles. Among men's college basketball coaches, only UCLA's John Wooden has won more NCAA championships, with a total of ten. Krzyzewski is widely regarded as one of the greatest college basketball coaches of all time. Krzyzewski has also coached the United States national team, which he has led to three gold medals at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympics. Preseason NIT
The NIT Season Tip-Off is an annual college basketball tournament that takes place in November of each year, toward the beginning of the season. The first two rounds are held at campus sites, while the semifinals and the finals are held during the week of Thanksgiving in Brooklyn, NY. 2020's tournament was to be held at Amway Center in Orlando, FL, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused the NCAA to cancel it. The tournament, which is a part of the regular season for all participating colleges, began in 1985 as the Preseason NIT, so-called in order to distinguish it from the post-season NIT. In 2005, the NCAA purchased the Men's Preseason and Postseason NIT and renamed the November tournament the NIT Season Tip-Off. The 1996–97 Saint Joseph's Hawks men's basketball team represented Saint Joseph's University as a member of the Atlantic-10 Conference during the 1996–97 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Tim O'Toole (basketball)
Tim O'Toole (born March 5, 1964) is an American college basketball coach, currently the associate head coach at Pittsburgh. He previously was the tenth head coach of the Fairfield Stags men's basketball team. He also worked in the media as an ESPN college basketball analyst and was the color analyst for St. John's University's radio broadcasts with John Minko. Coaching career O'Toole was the head coach of the Fairfield Stags men's basketball team coach from 1998 to 2006 where he compiled a 112–120 record. He was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Coach of the Year in 2004. O'Toole's best season came in 2002-03.
