Paul Blades
Paul Andrew Blades (born 5 January 1965 in Peterborough) is an English former professional footballer. He was a defender who played for Derby County, Norwich City, Wolves and Rotherham United. Now Paul works for the health and safety side of Manstal Electrical in Birmingham. Career Blades attended Walton School in Peterborough. Dave Walton
David Walton (born 10 April 1973 in Bedlington, Northumberland) is an English retired footballer who is remembered for his exploits at Shrewsbury Town and Crewe Alexandra where he made over 150 league appearances for both clubs. Club career Walton began his footballing career with his local North East club Ashlington. After a year at the club, he was offered his first professional contract by Sheffield United at the age of eighteen. He failed to break into the first team at Bramall Lane and after two years in the team youth and reserve sides he was transferred to Shropshire club Shrewsbury Town on his first of two spells at the club. Chris Withe
Christopher Withe (born 25 September 1962) is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for seven clubs. He is the younger brother of the former Aston Villa and England striker Peter Withe. Playing career Withe was born in Liverpool, England as the younger brother of Peter Withe. He began his career as an apprentice with Newcastle United, with whom he turned professional in October 1980. His two first-team appearances for the Magpies came during the same month in matches against Shrewsbury Town and Chelsea. John McGovern (footballer)
John Prescott McGovern (born 28 October 1949) is a Scottish former association football midfielder and manager. McGovern is most famous for captaining the Nottingham Forest side that won the European Cup twice under the management of Brian Clough, whom he played under at four clubs, and Peter Taylor. At the age of 19 he became the youngest player to play in all four divisions of the Football League. During his playing career he won promotion with Hartlepools United / Hartlepool, Derby County and Nottingham Forest. He won titles as English League champions with both Derby and Forest. At Forest he also won the UEFA Super Cup, two Football League Cups, the FA Charity Shield and the Anglo-Scottish Cup. He was Forest's club captain throughout this period of success. Archie Gemmill
Archibald Gemmill (born 24 March 1947) is a Scottish former footballer. During his career, he won the European Cup and three English league titles, and captained his national side. Gemmill scored the third Scotland goal in a 3–2 win against the Netherlands in the 1978 FIFA World Cup. It is regularly cited as one of the greatest goals in the history of the World Cup. Club career Early career Gemmill was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire. His early career at St Mirren was ruined by a succession of injuries, not least a broken ankle in early 1966. John McGlashan (3 June 1967 – 10 January 2018) was a Scottish football player and manager. Playing career In a long professional career, he played for nine clubs. He started his senior career in 1988 with Montrose, scoring some goals from a midfield position. This earned him a £50,000 move to London club Millwall in 1990. After loan spells with Fulham and Cambridge United, McGlashan moved to Peterborough United for £75,000 in 1993. A year later McGlashan moved to Rotherham United, where he stayed for three years. Whilst at Rotherham he was a part of the team that won the 1996 Football League Trophy Final. McGlashan returned to Scottish football in the summer of 1997, signing for Dundee. Andy Hayward
Andrew William Hayward is an English former footballer who played as either a midfielder or a striker. Hayward started his career in non-league football, and his prolific goalscoring record soon attracted attention from bigger clubs. Gary David Bowyer (born 22 June 1971) is an English professional football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish club Dundee.
