The Copa Chile 1996 was the 26th edition of the Chilean Cup tournament. The competition started on February 17, 1996, and concluded on November 30, 1996. Colo-Colo won the competition for their tenth time, beating Rangers in the finals. Copa Chile
The Copa Chile (''Chile Cup'') is an annual cup competition for Chilean football teams. Due to time constraints and club pressure, the trophy was cancelled in 2000, but returned in 2008. Its precursor was the Campeonato de Apertura (''Opening Championship''), played from 1933 to 1950. The cup is now open to every member club of the Chilean football league system, from professional teams; ( Primera División, Primera B & Segunda División), down to teams from the ANFA: Tercera División. Since the season 2009, the winners obtained a direct Copa Sudamericana spot for the next season, however this was change starting from the 2015 edition; since then the winners obtains a direct Copa Libertadores spot for the next season. Deportes Temuco
Deportes Temuco is a Chilean football club based in Temuco, Araucanía Region. It currently plays in the Chilean Primera División B, holding home games at the new '' Estadio Municipal Germán Becker''. The club was founded on February 22, 1960, as ''Deportes Temuco'' and again on March 20, 1965, after a merger with Green Cross. Until 1984, the club was known as ''Green Cross – Temuco'', and, in 2007, changed its name to ''Deportivo Temuco'', only on that season. In 2013, the club merged with Unión Temuco, but the name of Deportes Temuco was kept, along with the logo and traditional white and green colors, making it seem as Deportes Temuco absorbing Unión rather than a fusion. Deportes Linares is a Chilean Football club, their home town is Linares in Chile and play in the 3rd tier of Chilean football, the Segunda División. Deportes Colchagua
Colchagua Club de Deportes or just Colchagua is a chilean Football club, their home town is San Fernando in Chile. They currently play in the Tercera Division A (Third Division A) of Chilean football, which is actually the fourth division on chilean football due to ANFP ruling. Its traditional rivals are Rancagua Sur and O'Higgins both from the city of Rancagua in the O'Higgins Region which is where San Fernando is also located, it also has rivalry with General Velásquez from the nearby town of San Vicente and with Deportes Santa Cruz. Everton de Viña del Mar is a Chilean football club based in the city of Viña del Mar. Deportes Magallanes is a Chilean Football team based in San Bernardo, Chile. They will play in the Primera División de Chile starting from 2023 after winning the 2022 Primera B championship. Club de Deportes Cobresal or simply Cobresal, is a Chilean football club based in El Salvador, Atacama, a Chilean mining camp, and participates in Campeonato Nacional.
