1995–96 Svenska Cupen
Svenska Cupen 1995-96 was the forty-first season of the main Swedish football Cup. The competition was concluded on 23 May 1996 with the Final held in Gamla Ullevi, Göteborg. AIK won 1-0 (golden goal) against Malmö FF before an attendance of 2,745 spectators. A different format was used for the competition with the number of teams entered reduced by almost half compared with the previous year and the third round was run on a group basis. AIK Fotboll (), more commonly known simply as AIK (), an abbreviation for Allmänna Idrottsklubben (meaning ''the public'' or ''general sports club''), is a Swedish football club competing in Allsvenskan, the top flight of Swedish football. The club was founded 1891 in Stockholm and the football department was formed in 1896. AIK's home ground is Friends Arena, located in Solna, just north of Stockholm City Centre. Forssa BK is a Swedish football club located in Borlänge. Background Forssa Bollklubb were founded on 16 April 1934 at Hushagens school. The club played their first match on 17 May 1934 winning 4–0 against IK Fylking. In 1978 the club played the biggest match in their history against Hammarby IF in Scandia Cup. Gymnastik- och Idrottsföreningen Sundsvall, more commonly known as GIF Sundsvall (), Giffarna or simply Sundsvall, is a Swedish professional football club based in Sundsvall. Idrottsföreningen Elfsborg, more commonly known as IF Elfsborg or simply Elfsborg (), is a professional football club based in Borås, Sweden, and is affiliated to the Västergötlands Fotbollförbund. IF Sylvia is a Swedish football club based in Norrköping. The club, formed on 19 May 1922, is currently playing in the third tier of Swedish football, Division 1. The club is affiliated to the Östergötlands Fotbollförbund. In the early years, the club was also playing bandy and other sports. IS Halmia
IS Halmia is a football club, located in Halmstad, Sweden. Background IS Halmia was founded on 16 June 16, 1907 and currently plays in Division 2 Västra Götaland. In early years, the club also played bandy. The first ever bandy game between two organised teams in Halland, is thought to have been played between Halmia and local rival Halmstads BK in 1922. In 1932 Halmia won the Halland district championship in this sport. In 1932 the club also became the first team from Halmstad to reach the Allsvenskan, the top-tier football league in Sweden.
