Central Hockey League
The Central Hockey League (CHL) was a North American mid-level minor professional ice hockey league which operated from 1992 until 2014. It was founded by Ray Miron and Bill Levins and later sold to Global Entertainment Corporation, which operated the league from 2000 to 2013, at which point it was purchased by the individual franchise owners. As of the end of its final season in 2014, three of the 30 National Hockey League teams had affiliations with the CHL: the Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, and Tampa Bay Lightning. Several teams of defunct leagues joined the CHL along its history, including the Southern Hockey League, Western Professional Hockey League and International Hockey League. After two teams suspended operations during the 2014 offseason, the ECHL accepted the remaining seven teams as members in October 2014, meaning the end for the CHL after 22 seasons. David Shute (born February 10, 1971) is an American former professional ice hockey and roller hockey left winger. Shute was drafted 163rd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft but never played in the National Hockey League. He played in the International Hockey League for the Muskegon Lumberjacks and the East Coast Hockey League for the Knoxville Cherokees, Erie Panthers, Hampton Roads Admirals and Raleigh Icecaps. Joe Burton
Joe Burton (born ), is a retired Americans, American professional ice hockey player, most notably for the Oklahoma City Blazers (1992–2009), Oklahoma City Blazers of the Central Hockey League. He is not only the career leader in almost every major statistical category for the Blazers, but the all-time leading goals and points scorer in CHL history, and one of the leading goal scorers in minor league hockey history. George Dupont (ice Hockey Player)
George Dupont (), whose Thai name was Yod (), was a soldier and timber dealer from Siam known for participating in the American Civil War, serving the Union Army. He fought in three major battles of the war: Antietam, Chancellorsville, and Gettysburg. He also took part in Sherman's March to the Sea. After the war, he eventually returned to Siam, where he briefly worked for '' The Siam Weekly Advertiser'', an English-language newspaper. Soon, he was hired by the Siamese Government as a drillmaster for its Army. After leaving his military career, he became a timber dealer, travelling throughout Siam. Kyle Reeves
Kyle Reeves (born May 12, 1971) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger. Reeves played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League for the Swift Current Broncos and the Tri-City Americans between 1988 and 1991. He was drafted 64th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft and spent three seasons with their International Hockey League affiliate the Peoria Rivermen, from 1991 to 1994 though he was unable to break into the St. Louis roster.
