The 1995 Individual Long Track World Championship was the 25th edition of the FIM speedway Individual Long Track World Championship. The event was held on 17 September 1995 at the Eichenring motorcycle speedway arena in Scheeßel, Germany. The world title was won by Kelvin Tatum of England after he defeated five times champion Simon Wigg in a run off for the gold medal. Simon Cross
Simon James Cross (born 31 May 1965 in Hereford, England) is a former motorcycle speedway rider who spent most of his career with the Cradley Heathens. Career Simon Cross and Kelvin Tatum finished runner-up in Speedway World Pairs Championship in 1988 and he finished runner-up in the British Championship in 1990.2007 British Final Match Programme He won the National League Pairs Championship in 1983 with Martin Yeates. In early 1987, Cross was part of a touring troupe to Australia which included (among others) World Champion Hans Nielsen, Tommy Knudsen, Shawn Moran and Rick Miller. While in Australia he won the 1986/87 Western Australian State Championship at the Claremont Speedway in Perth. 1987 also saw Cross qualify for his first and only World Final, run over two days at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam. Steve Bishop (speedway Rider)
Steve Bishop (born 26 November 1963) is a former grasstrack, longtrack and motorcycle speedway rider from England. Career Bishop started racing in the British leagues in 1981 but it was not during the 1982 National League season that he became a regular rider, when riding for the Exeter Falcons. He helped Exeter win the Knockout Cup in 1983 and rode for them when they were in the top division in 1984. Also in 1984, he doubled up for Stoke Potters. Following a season with Arena Essex Hammers in 1987, he rode for Poole Pirates and Long Eaton Invaders in 1988. He returned to Exeter for the 1989 and 1990 seasons before he began to concentrate on grasstrack and longtrack racing. As a longtrack rider he reached the final of the European Championship and the final of the 1995 Individual Long Track World Championship. As a grasstrack rider he won the 1998 British Best Pairs. Stefan Dannö (born 10 February 1969) is an international former Speedway rider who rode in the Speedway World Championship. He also rode for the Eastbourne Eagles in the British Speedway League and Indianerna in the Swedish Elite League when they were champions in 1990 and 1991. He was Swedish Champion in 2003. Philippe Bergé (born 20 June 1971 in Brive-la-Gaillarde) is a French former motorcycle speedway rider, who competed in Grasstrack, Longtrack and Speedway. He is a former champion of France. Speedway career Bergé came to prominence when he reached the final of the 1993 Individual Long Track World Championship, he then reached a second longtrack final the following year. He began his British league career riding for Oxford Cheetahs during the 1996 Premier League speedway season, he was signed midway through the season but still rode 14 times for the club. In 1996, he became the champion of France and competed in his third world longtrack final at the 1996 Individual Long Track World Championship and had showed enough good form during 1996 to be retained by the Cheetahs for the 1997 Premier League speedway season, where he rode 35 times and averaged above 8 and recorded a maximum score in the second leg of the Premier League Knockout Cup final.
