Confederación Sudamericana De Voleibol
The Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV) (Portuguese: ) is the continental governing body for the sports of volleyball in South America. Its headquarters is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Profile The CSV's origins are still under dispute. Some argue it was founded in Buenos Aires, Argentina on February 12, 1946; some, that it was founded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on July 3 of the same year. Either way, it was formed even before the FIVB itself, and stands as the oldest of all volleyball continental confederations. FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Women's U21 World Championship is the world championship of volleyball for female players under the age of 21 organized by ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' (FIVB). The first tournament was staged in 1977 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship, 1977 in Brazil. The second and third tournaments were played at intervals of four years, in 1981 and 1985; with the fourth tournament in 1987 the interval became, and remains, two years. The 2021 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship, most recent tournament was jointly hosted by Netherlands and Belgium and won by Italy women's national under-21 volleyball team, Italy. In March 2022, FIVB decides to change the age category of the tournament by moving it from U20 to U21 in order to equate it with the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, Men's U21 World Championship. Elles Maria Leferink (born 14 November 1976 in Weerselo, Overijssel) is a volleyball player from the Netherlands, who represented her native country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, finishing in fifth place. The African Volleyball Confederation (French: ''Confédération Africaine de Volleyball'', or CAVB) is the continental governing body for the sports of volleyball in Africa. Its headquarters are located in Rabat, Morocco. Profile The CAVB was the last confederation to be created: it was established in 1972, when the FIVB turned its five Volleyball Zone Commissions into continental confederations. The African Volleyball Commission had been founded in 1967.
