1995 Cincinnati Bengals
The 1995 Cincinnati Bengals season was the team's 28th year in professional football and its 26th with the National Football League. With Jeff Blake firmly entrenched as the starting quarterback, the Bengals won their first two games. However, the Bengals would lose their next two, heading into a rematch with Don Shula and the Miami Dolphins, in which the Bengals also lost, 26–23. The Bengals went on to play fairly well the rest of the season, but could not avoid their fifth straight losing season, ending with a 7–9 win–loss record. One of the season's biggest disappointments was running back Ki-Jana Carter who the Bengals took with first overall pick out of Penn State. Carter would suffer a knee injury in his first preseason game, forcing him to miss his entire rookie season. He would never fully recover, in an injury plagued career. AFC North
The American Football Conference – Northern Division or AFC North is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The division was adopted after the restructuring of the 2002 NFL season, when the league realigned divisions after expanding to 32 teams. This is the only division in the NFL in which no member team has hosted a Super Bowl in their stadiums. Formation The AFC North currently has four members: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Larry Peccatiello (born December 21, 1935) is a former American football coach. He was an assistant coach with the Washington Redskins from 1981 to 1993. For most of that time, he was the defensive coordinator, either alone or sharing it with Richie Petitbon. He was Petitbon's defensive coordinator during his lone season as head coach in 1993. After Petitbon was fired after the 1993 season, incoming coach Norv Turner jettisoned the remaining staff. From 1994 to 1996, he was defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals under head coach Dave Shula. When Shula was fired following the 1996 season, incoming coach Bruce Coslet jettisoned the remaining staff. John Morgan Garrett (born March 2, 1965) is an American football coach and former wide receiver. He is the former head football coach at Lafayette College, a position he assumed December 21, 2016 after spending one season as the offensive coordinator for the University of Richmond. Gary Oscar Moeller (; January 26, 1941 – July 11, 2022) was an American football coach best known for being head coach at the University of Michigan from 1990 to 1994. During his five seasons at Michigan, he won 44 games, lost 13 and tied 3 for a winning percentage of .758. In Big Ten Conference play, his teams won 30 games, lost 8, and tied 2 for a winning percentage of .775, and won or shared conference titles in 1990, 1991 and 1992. Kenneth Allan Anderson (born February 15, 1949) is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL), spending his entire career with the Cincinnati Bengals. Bruce Coslet (born August 5, 1946) is a former American college and professional football player and professional football coach. A tight end, he played for the University of the Pacific and in 1969 debuted with the American Football League's Cincinnati Bengals. He played for the Bengals in the NFL through 1976. Michael Brown (born August 10, 1935) is an American football executive who is the owner of the Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League (NFL).
