1995 Belarusian First League
1995 Belarusian First League was the fifth season of 2nd level football championship in Belarus. It started in July and ended in November 1995. Team changes from 1994–95 season The two best teams of 1994–95 First League ( MPKC Mozyr and Ataka-Aura Minsk) were promoted to Belarusian Premier League. They were replaced by two lowest placed teams of 1994–95 Premier League ( Gomselmash Gomel and Lokomotiv Vitebsk). The three lowest-placed teams of the last season ( ZLiN Gomel, AFViS-RShVSM Minsk and Stroitel Vitebsk) relegated to the Second League. Stroitel Vitebsk eventually disbanded before the start of the season. These teams were replaced by three best teams of 1994–95 Second League ( Naftan-Devon Novopolotsk, Fomalgaut Borisov and Dinamo-Juni Minsk). Before the start of the season, Gomselmash Gomel were renamed to FC Gomel. Belarusian First League
The Belarusian First League is the second tier of professional football in Belarus. It was created in 1992, following the Belarusian independence. History and format The typical format of the league involves 16 clubs playing a double round-robin tournament over 30 matchdays (with the exception of shortened 1992 and 1995 seasons, which were a single round-robin tournaments). On several occasions the number of participating teams was smaller (15 or 14), due to last minute withdrawals and no teams available for replacement. In most of the seasons, two best teams are getting promoted to Belarusian Premier League, while two worst teams are relegated Belarusian Second League. FC Kobrin
FC Kobrin ( be, Футбольны клуб Кобрын) is a Belarusian football club based in Kobrin, Brest Oblast. History FC Kobrin was founded in 1992 in the city of Brest as Brestbytkhim Brest. The team made its debut in Belarusian Second League in 1992–93 season, and after winning the league from the first attempt they were promoted to the First League. In 1996, the team relocated to its current location in Kobrin, Brest Voblast. In early 1997 the team withdrew to the amateur level due to financial troubles. Kobrin returned to the Second League for 1998 and 1999 seasons and then again for one more season in 2006. In between these years and since 2007 Kobrin played on amateur level in Brest Oblast championship. The team also made a number of appearances in Belarusian Cup in recent seasons. FC Kommunalnik Slonim was a Belarusian football club based in Slonim, Grodno Oblast. History The team was founded in 1969. During the Soviet era the club played in Grodno Oblast league or lower levels of Belarusian SSR league as ''Torpedo Slonim'' (1969–1971), ''Kommunalnik Slonim'' (1972–1986), ''Start Slonim'' (1972–1986) and ''Albertin Slonim'' (since 1989). FC Vitebsk-2 is a Belarusian football club from Vitebsk. The club acts as a reserve team for FC Vitebsk. History During Soviet era the team was known as KIM-2 Vitebsk, while the main was called KIM Vitebsk. Until 1991 KIM-2 played in Belarusian SSR League. In 1992 KIM-2 was included in newly created Belarusian First League, while their parent team KIM Vitebsk joined Belarusian Premier League . Belarusian Second League is the third tier of professional football in Belarus. It was established in 1992. History and format A strict number of teams and competition format are not defined for the league. Before the start of each season the format of the league is adjusted depending on how many teams are willing to participate and able to fulfill licensing criteria. A number of best teams (typically two, but not always) are getting promoted to Belarusian First League. * During 1992–1994, 2001–2002, 2004–2013 and since 2016 the League format was a simple double round-robin tournament (except for shortened 1992 season, which was a single round-robin tournament). The 1995 Belarusian Premier League was the fifth season of top-tier football in Belarus. It started on 10 July and ended on 6 November 1995. Dinamo Minsk were the defending champions. Team changes from 1994–95 season Gomselmash Gomel and Lokomotiv Vitebsk, who finished on 15th and 16th places, relegated to Belarusian First League.
