1994–95 Dynamo Dresden Season
The 1994–95 season was Dynamo Dresden's fourth, and to date last, season in the Bundesliga. It was a fairly disastrous season for the club – they finished at the bottom of the table, winning only four league games, including a 21-game winless streak, from October to May. The club got through three managers: Sigfried Held was replaced by another former Germany international striker, Horst Hrubesch, who lasted only four months, before former Dynamo forward Ralf Minge took over for the remainder of the season. The squad had seen some turnover in pre-season, with last season's top scorer Olaf Marschall leaving for 1. FC Kaiserslautern and midfield pairing Piotr Nowak and Miroslav Stevic joining 1860 Munich. In mid-season, Dynamo turned to two veteran Bundesliga strikers, Jørn Andersen and Herbert Waas, but neither was able to make an impact – neither player scored for the club. Herbert Waas
Herbert Waas (born 8 September 1963) is a German former footballer who played as a striker, and won 11 caps for West Germany, scoring once. Club career Waas spent the most prolific time of his career with Bayer Leverkusen, with whom he won the UEFA Cup in 1988. Waas was the club's first German international, and Bild named him in a list of the club's top 50 all-time players. In the Bundesliga he scored 74 goals in 247 matches. At the end of Waas' stint with Bayer Leverkusen, new manager Jürgen Gelsdorf froze him out of the playing squad as the club put him up for sale in a cost-cutting move. Hans-Uwe Pilz
Hans-Uwe Pilz (born 10 November 1958) is a German former footballer. He began his career with BSG Sachsenring Zwickau before joining Dynamo Dresden during the winter break of the 1981–82 season. He remained at Dynamo until German reunification when he moved west, following teammates Matthias Döschner and Andreas Trautmann to Fortuna Köln. However, he returned to Dynamo after a few months, and would play for the club until 1995, including four years in the Bundesliga. After the club suffered a double relegation in 1995, Pilz returned to FSV Zwickau, before retiring in 1997. He later had two brief spells as manager at Zwickau. Dirk Oberritter
Dirk Oberritter (born 10 July 1972) is a German former professional footballer. A defender, Oberritter began his career with Dynamo Dresden, making his debut as a substitute for Dirk Zander in a 1–1 draw with 1. FC Saarbrücken in the Bundesliga in September 1992. He made one more appearance for Dynamo during the 1994–95 season, but was part of a mass exodus from Dynamo in the summer of 1995, after the club had been relegated to the Regionalliga Nordost. He signed for Dynamo's Saxony rivals VfB Leipzig, but was back at Dynamo after only six months and one league appearance. Matthias Maucksch
Matthias Maucksch (born 11 June 1969) is a German former footballer who played as midfielder or defender and worked as a manager in different Teams of Germanys 4th and 3rd leagues. Playing career Maucksch came through the youth system at Dynamo Dresden, and made his debut in the DDR-Oberliga in 1987. The Regionalliga Nordost is the fourth tier of German football league system, German football in the states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia.
