1994–95 Dundee United F.C. Season
The 1994–95 season was the 83rd year of football played by Dundee United, and covers the period from July 1, 1994, to June 30, 1995. United finished in bottom place and were relegated to the First Division, their first spell outside the Premier Division since its inception in 1975. Season review United were relegated, the season after winning the Scottish Cup for the first time. Ivan Golac, the man who led them to the trophy, was sacked in March and replaced with Billy Kirkwood. Kirkwood's record was less than impressive and losing nine of the final eleven games meant relegation. Match results Dundee United played a total of 45 competitive matches during the 1994–95 season. David Hannah
David Hannah (born 4 August 1973) is a Scottish footballer and coach, who played in central midfield. He began his career with Dundee United, transferred to Celtic in 1996 and rejoined Dundee United from 1999 to 2002. He then had short spells with a number of Scottish clubs, including Ross County and St Johnstone, as well as playing for clubs in Cyprus, England and Iceland. He also represented the Scotland under-21 team. During his career, Hannah won all three major honours in Scottish football – the Scottish Cup with Dundee United and the Premier Division title and League Cup with Celtic. William James Alexander McKinlay (born 22 April 1969) is a Scottish football manager and former professional footballer who is assistant manager of West Ham United. As a player, he was a midfielder who notably played in the Premier League for Blackburn Rovers, Leicester City, Bradford City and Fulham. He also played in the Scottish Premiership for Dundee United, the Football League for Preston North End and the Scottish Football League for Clydebank. Ian Grant Johnson (born 24 March 1972 in Dundee) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently on the board of directors of Scottish League Two club Brechin City. Johnson began his playing career with Dundee United before moving to Huddersfield Town in England. Returning to Scotland, he played for Clydebank, Alloa Athletic and Montrose before ending his career at Brechin City. Johnson is a Scotland under-21 internationalist, having made six appearances between 1992 and 1993. Christian Eduard Dailly (born 23 October 1973) is a Scottish former professional association football, footballer who played as a centre-back. Dailly started his professional career as a teenager, playing as a forward (association football), striker for Dundee United F.C., Dundee United. He helped them win the 1993–94 Scottish Cup.
