1994–95 Duke Blue Devils Men's Basketball Team
The 1994–95 Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team represented Duke University in the 1994–95 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The season lives in Duke Blue Devil infamy, as head coach Mike Krzyzewski, was forced to leave the team after twelve games while seeking treatment for an injured back and exhaustion. During the season, the few games that resulted in wins were added to Coach K's coaching record, while the losses were given to Pete Gaudet. Many outside of the Duke fan base have speculated Coach K used the injury excuse as a way to back out of a terrible team and saddle the hardship of the season on an assistant coach. Assistant Pete Gaudet would finish the rest of the Blue Devils' disappointing season with an overall record of 13–18, marking the first time since the 1982–83 season that they failed to finish above .500, won fewer than twenty games, and missed the NCAA tournament. Mike Krzyzewski
Michael William Krzyzewski ( ; born February 13, 1947), nicknamed "Coach K", is an American former college basketball coach. He served as the head coach at Duke University from 1980 to 2022, during which he led the Blue Devils to five national titles, 13 Final Fours, 15 ACC tournament championships, and 13 ACC regular season titles. Among men's college basketball coaches, only UCLA's John Wooden has won more NCAA championships, with a total of ten. Krzyzewski is widely regarded as one of the greatest college basketball coaches of all time. Krzyzewski has also coached the United States national team, which he has led to three gold medals at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympics. Tommy Amaker
Harold Tommy Amaker Jr. (; born June 6, 1965) is an American college basketball coach and the head coach of the Harvard University men's basketball team. He has also coached for the University of Michigan and Seton Hall University. He played point guard and later served as an assistant coach at Duke University under Mike Krzyzewski. An All-American player, Amaker set numerous records and earned many honors and awards. He took Seton Hall to the post season in each of his four seasons as their coach, helped Michigan win the National Invitation Tournament the year after a probationary ban from postseason play, and had the three highest single-season win totals in the history of Harvard basketball, the school's first six Ivy League championships and first NCAA tournament victory. The Greensboro Coliseum Complex, commonly referred to as Greensboro Coliseum (the first and biggest building on the site), is an entertainment and sports complex located in Greensboro, North Carolina. United Center is an indoor arena on the Near West Side of Chicago, Illinois, United States.
