1994–95 Divizia B
The 1994–95 Divizia B was the 55th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to two series, each of them having 18 teams. At the end of the season, the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A and the last two places from both series relegated to Divizia C. The teams which were ranked 2nd played a promotion/relegation play-off against teams ranked 15th and 16th in the Divizia A and teams ranked 15th and 16th in the Divizia B in both series, played a relegation/promotion play-off against the 2nd places from Divizia C. Divizia B
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The teams placed from 7th to 12th will play a relegation play-off, where the last two teams are relegated to Liga III. Liga III
The Liga 3, most often spelled as Liga III, is the third level of the Romanian football league system. Its name was changed from Divizia C to Liga III before the start of the 2006–07 season. FC Drobeta-Turnu Severin
FC Drobeta-Turnu Severin was a Romanian professional football club from Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Mehedinți County, Romania, founded in 1958 and dissolved in 2011. History ''FC Drobeta-Turnu Severin'' was never able to reach the Liga I, playing all of its history in the Liga II and the Liga III. In ''1958'', Drobeta Turnu Severin was founded, after it took the place of CFR Turnu Severin in the Divizia C. In 1959 the club changes its name to Metalul Turnu Severin. In ''1976'', after ''Metalul'' relegated from the Divizia C to the Divizia D, at the end of the 1974–75 season, it merged with ''Meva'' and formed a new club named CSM Drobeta-Turnu Severin. Foresta Fălticeni (also known as ''Foresta Suceava'') was a Romanian professional football club from Fălticeni, Suceava County, Romania, founded in 1954 as ''Avântul Fălticeni'' and subsequently dissolved in 2003. History The club was founded in 1954 in Fălticeni under the name of ''Avântul Fălticeni''. Foresta was the first team representing Divizia C that played in a Romanian Cup final which was lost with 0–6 against Steaua București at the end of the 1966–67 season. In 1997, the club was moved to Suceava after it won the promotion to the Divizia A for the first time in history. The main reason for the move was the inadequate state of Foresta's stadium in Fălticeni, which was both small and had a cracked stand. Fotbal Club Unirea Dej, commonly known as Unirea Dej, is a Romanian professional football club from Dej, Cluj County, Romania, founded in 1921. They play in the Liga II. History It is one of Romania's oldest football teams, although it never reached the Liga I. Unirea's home field, Stadionul Unirea, has 5,000 seats. Fotbal Club Dacia Pitești, commonly known as Dacia Pitești (), was a Romanian football club based in Pitești, Argeș County. Dacia was founded in 1953 under the name of ''Metalul Colibași'', then since 1969 bearing the name of the famous factory Automobile Dacia, owner and main sponsor of the club. FCM Câmpina was a Romanian football team from Poiana Câmpina, Prahova County founded in 1936 and dissolved in 2008. History The team was founded under the name ''Astra Câmpina'', which was a local factory that was sponsoring the team. Later the team changed its name to ''Poiana Câmpina''. Even though the team is now called FCM Câmpina (Municipal Football Club Câmpina), most of its fans still call the team "Poiana" or "Poieniţa", a diminutive. Furthermore, FCM Câmpina used to be, for a couple of years, Dinamo Bucharest's second team, and was back then called Dinamo Poiana Câmpina.
