1994 New York Mets Season
The 1994 New York Mets season was the 33rd attempt at a regular season for the Mets. They went 55–58 and finished 3rd in the NL East. They were managed by Dallas Green. They played home games at Shea Stadium. The season was cut short by the 1994 player's strike. James William Lindeman (born January 10, 1962) is a former Major League Baseball player. He played mostly in the outfield and at first base, appearing in parts of nine seasons in the majors from 1986 until 1994. Professional career He was the St. Louis Cardinals' first-round draft pick in the 1983 Major League Baseball Draft out of Bradley University. In 1986, he led the AAA Louisville Redbirds with 82 runs, 38 doubles, 20 home runs, and a league-leading 96 RBIs. He made his major league debut with the Cardinals in 1986, and played with them through the 1989 season. Marc Kroon
Marc Jason Kroon (born April 2, 1973) is an American former right-handed relief pitcher. He served as the closer for the Yomiuri Giants of Japan's Central League. Career He was drafted 72nd overall by the New York Mets in 1991. The Mets traded him to the San Diego Padres in 1993 as the player to be named later in an earlier trade for Frank Seminara. The Padres traded Kroon to the Cincinnati Reds for Buddy Carlyle in April 1998. Kroon retired following elbow surgeries and did not play baseball at any level in 2001 or 2002. WSKQ-FM (97.9 MHz), known on-air as "La Mega 97.9", is a radio station licensed to New York City and is owned and operated by Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS). Howard Jeffrey Rose (born February 13, 1954) is an American sportscaster. He is currently a radio broadcaster for the New York Mets on WCBS. Previously, Rose called play-by-play for the New York Rangers and New York Islanders. Early life Rose was born in Brooklyn, New York to a Jewish family.
