The 1994 Barbagallo ATCC round was the ninth round of the 1994 Australian Touring Car Championship. Skaife started to fall through the pack, whilst others were moving up. The likes of Longhurst, Perkins and Jones were climbing through the pack, with Longhurst advancing to second and closing in on Seton. With a couple laps to go, Seton's car experienced engine problems and subsequently retired from the race. Peter Brock
Peter Geoffrey Brock (26 February 1945 – 8 September 2006), known as "Peter Perfect", "The King of the Mountain", or simply "Brocky", was an Australian motor racing driver. Brock was most often associated with Holden for almost 40 years, although he raced vehicles of other manufacturers including BMW, Ford, Volvo, Porsche and Peugeot. Alf Barbagallo
Alf Barbagallo (born 3 May 1942) is a former racing car driver and businessman in Perth, Western Australia. Barbagallo won six Western Australian Sprintcar Championships, in 1967–68, 1972–73, 1973–74, 1977–78, 1978–79 and 1981–82. He finished second in 1965–66, 1979–80 and 1982–83. He finished second behind Sydney driver Garry Rush in the 1987 World Sprintcar Championship at Perth's Claremont Speedway. He also finished runner up in the 1980 Australian Sprintcar Championship at Adelaide's Speedway Park. Playscape Racing was an Australian motor racing team that competed in Australian touring car racing between 1989 and 1998. History At the 1988 Bathurst 1000, explosives entrepreneur Kevin Waldock's Blast Dynamics came on board as a sponsor of Miedecke Motorsport’s Ford Sierra RS500. For 1989, Waldock contracted Miedecke Motorsport to build and maintain customer RS500. However following the destruction of Andrew Miedecke's own car at Lakeside, this car was taken over by Miedecke and another car built for Waldock, debuting at the Oran Park 300. The car was painted yellow, a livery all Playscape Racing cars would carry. Richard 'Dick' Johnson (born 26 April 1945) is a part-owner of the V8 Supercar team Dick Johnson Racing and a former racing driver. As a driver, he was a five-time Australian Touring Car Champion and a three-time winner of the Bathurst 1000. As of 2008 Johnson has claimed over twenty awards and honours, including the V8 Supercars Hall of Fame into which he was inducted in 2001. In 2009 as part of the Q150 celebrations, Dick Johnson was announced as one of the Q150 Icons of Queensland for his role as a "sports legend". Wayne Michael Gardner (born 11 October 1959) is an Australian former professional Grand Prix motorcycle and touring car racer. Jim Richards (racing Driver)
Jim Richards (born 2 September 1947) is a New Zealand racing driver who won numerous championships in his home country and in Australia. While now retired from professional racing, Richards continues to compete in the Touring Car Masters series. He was inducted into the New Zealand Motor-racing Hall of Fame in 1994 After a record number of starts and seven victories in the Bathurst 1000, and four Australian Touring Car Championships, Richards was inducted into the V8 Supercars Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Australian Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2015. Wayne Gardner Racing was an Australian motor racing team that competed in the Australian Touring Car Championship from 1994 until 1999. History Formation The team was created to further the motor sport career of 1987 World Motorcycle Champion, Wayne Gardner who retired from motor cycle racing at the end of the 1992 season. After racing with the Holden Racing Team in 1993, a falling out with team owner Tom Walkinshaw saw Gardner leave the team at season's end.
