The 1994 Baltic Cup football competition took place from 29–31 July 1994 at the Žalgiris Stadium in Vilnius, Lithuania. It was the fourth annual competition of the three Baltic states; Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia; since they regained their independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. Valdas Ivanauskas
Valdas Ivanauskas (born 31 July 1966) is a Lithuanian football coach and a former striker. He is best known in Europe for his time at Austria Vienna as well as Hamburger SV where he acted between 1993 and 97. Beyond that he stood on the sideline for Hearts football club from 2005–07. Club career Born in Kaunas, Ivanauskas started his playing career and soon became a regular with FK Žalgiris, a club that was a respected member of the old Soviet Premier Division. Ivanauskas spent the 1985 season in the Second Division with CSKA Moscow, but then he returned to Žalgiris. However, in season 1990, he played in the Second Division for Lokomotiv Moscow after Žalgiris decided to transfer to the new Lithuanian League. In November 1990, he moved abroad to play for Austria Wien, where he was hugely successful with 52 goals in 122 games during which he was twice the leading scorer in the League. Gintaras Staučė (born 24 December 1969) is a Lithuanian football coach and a former player. Club career Among the other teams he played for were Spartak Moscow, Galatasaray in Turkey, and the Bundesliga's MSV Duisburg. International career An outstanding goalkeeper, he won 61 caps for the Lithuanian national football team, and is the former record holder for his country. On 30 August 2004, Staučė announced his international retirement ahead of the start of the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, and was replaced in the Lithuanian team by Žydrūnas Karčemarskas. Coaching career Upon retirement, he became part of Stanislav Cherchesov's coaching team as a goalkeeping coach, following Cherchesov with his appointments. Igoris Pankratjevas (born 9 August 1964) is a Lithuanian professional football coach and a former player. He made his debut in the Soviet Top League in 1983 for FK Žalgiris Vilnius. Igoris Pankratjevas coached several top Lithuanian football clubs. In 2010 season he was voted best coach of the year after winning bronze medals with a promoted FK Žalgiris Vilnius side. Aurelijus Skarbalius (; born 12 May 1973) is a Lithuanian professional football manager and former player, who started his career as a winger, but played mostly as either left- or right-sided full-back. Irmantas Stumbrys (30 May 1972 – 16 November 2000) was a Lithuanian football player who played as a midfielder. He has played for a number of first division Lithuanian teams and for some Russian sides including Zenit. Club career He started his career at Ekranas Panevėžys and played for Kareda-Sakalas Šiauliai before moving abroad to join Russian giants Zenit St. Petersburg in 1997. He had just won promotion to the Russian Premier League with Torpedo-ZIL before his death. International career Stumbrys made his debut for Lithuania in a November 1991 Baltic Cup match against Latvia and earned a total of 37 caps, scoring 2 goals. His final international was an October 1999 European Championship qualifying match against Scotland. Death He died in November 2000 after getting shot in his head in Panevėžys, Lithuania.
