1993–94 Inter Milan Season
Season In the summer of 1993, Inter acquired Dutch men Dennis Bergkamp and Wim Jonk, already spotted in the previous winter. Gianluca Festa, Massimo Paganin and Francesco Dell'Anno signed for Inter, too. Inter recorded better results in the UEFA Cup than in Serie A. Rubén Sosa was - once again - vital for the club, scoring 16 goals including a hat-trick in the win over Parma (3–2). When the league stopped for Christmas holidays, the gap from Milan was still recoverable: 20 points to 24. However, in early February, after a 1–2 loss against Lazio the club sacked Osvaldo Bagnoli replacing him with Giampiero Marini. Wim Jonk
Wilhelmus Maria "Wim" Jonk (born 12 October 1966) is a Dutch professional football manager and former player, who is the current head coach of Eerste Divisie club FC Volendam. In his career as a midfielder, he won a variety of national honours with Ajax and PSV. Abroad, he won the UEFA Cup with Inter Milan in 1994 and played in the Premier League with Sheffield Wednesday. A Dutch international with 49 caps between 1992 and 1999, he represented the team at UEFA Euro 1992 and the FIFA World Cups of 1994 and 1998, helping them come fourth at the latter. Club career Born in Volendam, Jonk started his career in amateur club RKAV Volendam, before signing for FC Volendam in 1986. Giuseppe Bergomi
Giuseppe Bergomi (; born 22 December 1963) is an Italian former professional footballer who spent his entire career at Inter Milan. He is regarded as one of the greatest Italian defenders of all time, and as one of the best of his generation, being elected by Pelé to be part of the FIFA 100 in 2004. A one-club man, Bergomi held the record of most appearances for the club for several years, while also being the side's longtime captain. Raffaele Nuzzo
Raffaele Nuzzo (born 21 February 1973) is an Italian former professional footballer. He spent most of his career in the Italian Serie C1 and Serie C2, in the role of a backup goalkeeper. Beniamino Abate
Beniamino Abate (born 10 April 1962) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as goalkeeper. He is currently the goalkeeping coach of the Milan Primavera (under-19) squad. He is the father of Ignazio Abate who played as right-back for Milan. Walter Zenga (; born 28 April 1960) is an Italian manager (association football), football manager and former player who last managed Serie A club Cagliari Calcio, Cagliari. Davide Fontolan (born 24 February 1966) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder, usually as a left winger. Club career Fontolan was born in Garbagnate Milanese, Province of Milan. He started his playing career with Serie C side Legnano, and moved to Parma in 1986 after four seasons with the ''lilla''. Francesco Dell'Anno (born 4 June 1967) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.
