1993–94 Cypriot Cup
The 1993–94 Cypriot Cup was the 52nd edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 50 clubs entered the competition. It began on 1 December 1993 with the first preliminary round and concluded on 28 May 1994 with the final which was held at Tsirion Stadium. Omonia won their 10th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Anorthosis 1–0 in the final after extra time. Format In the 1993–94 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division, the Cypriot Second Division, the Cypriot Third Division and 8 of the 14 teams of the Cypriot Fourth Division. The competition consisted of six knock-out rounds. In the preliminary round and in the first round each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of the one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Each tie winner was qualifying to the next round. If a match was drawn, extra time was following. Cypriot Cup
The Cypriot Cup () is the main cup competition in Cypriot football, run by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). It began in 1934, the same season with the Cypriot Championship. It is the second most important competition for Cypriot club teams after Cypriot Championship. Only the Cypriot First Division and the second division teams are participating in the competition. The sponsor of the competition since 1962 is Coca-Cola and thus officially known as Cyprus Coca-Cola Cup. Akritas Chlorakas ( el, Ακρίτας Χλώρακας) is a Cypriot football club based in Chloraka, Paphos. The club was founded in 1971, and currently plays in the Cypriot First Division. Akritas' colours are green and white, and they play their home games at the Chloraka Municipal Stadium. History Founded in 1971, Akritas Chlorakas joined the Cyprus Football Association in 1973, competing in the Cypriot Third Division. For many years, Akritas fluctuated between the Second and Third Division, winning the Third Division a total of three times, and winning the Cypriot Cup for Lower Divisions on one occasion. Ermis Aradippou () is a Cypriot professional football club based in Aradippou, a settlement on the outskirts of the city of Larnaca. The club was formed in 1958, and currently plays in the Cypriot Second Division. Ermis' greatest success came in 2014, when they won the Super Cup. Ermis have a long-standing rivalry with their neighbouring club Omonia Aradippou. Anagennisi Deryneia ( el, Αναγέννηση Δερύνειας) is Cypriot football team based in Deryneia, Famagusta. The club was founded in 1920 and they joined the Cyprus Football Association in 1972. Frenaros ( el, Φρέναρος; ) is a village in the Famagusta District of Cyprus. In 2011, it had a population of 4,298. History Frenaros was named after Lusignan monks called Fremenors, who lived in the nearby Panagia of Hortakion monastery. It has two churches that date back to the 12th century. In 1925, Swedish archeologist Einar Gjerstad uncovered evidence that the village dates back to the Neolithic period.
