1993 World Indoor Championships In Athletics
The 4th IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics were held at the Skydome in Toronto, Ontario, Canada from March 12 to March 14, 1993. It was the last Indoor Championships to feature the 5,000 and 3,000 metres race walk events. In addition, it was the first Indoor Championships to include heptathlon and pentathlon, albeit as non-championship events. There were a total number of 537 athletes participated from 93 countries. Kevin Little (athlete)
Kevin Little (born April 3, 1968, in Des Moines, Iowa) is a former American athlete, who specialized in sprints. He won the 200-meter race in the 1997 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Paris, France. He won bronze in the same event in 1989, 1993, and 1999 IAAF World Indoor Championships. Little graduated from Ankeny High School in 1986. He won the state title in the 100-meter dash his senior season and the 200-meter dash both his junior and senior seasons. Mark McKoy
Mark Anthony McKoy (born December 10, 1961) is a Canadian retired track and field athlete. He won the gold medal in the 110 metres hurdles at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He also won the 60 metres hurdles title at the 1993 IAAF World Indoor Championships, and the 110 metres hurdles titles at the Commonwealth Games in 1982 and 1986. He is the World record holder for the 50 metres hurdles with 6.25 secs (1986), and the Canadian record holder in the 60 metres hurdles with 7.41 secs (1993), and the 110 metres hurdles with 13.08 secs (1993). Enrique Molina Vargas (born 25 February 1968) is a retired Spanish runner who specialized in the 5000 metres. He was born in La Zubia. He won the bronze medal in 3000 metres at the 1993 World Indoor Championships, finished seventh in the 5000 metres at the 1996 Olympic Games, eighth in the 5000 metres at the 1997 World Championships and fourteenth in the 10,000 metres at the 1999 World Championships. He also competed at the 1992 European Indoor Championships, the 1995 World Championships, the 2000 Olympic Games and the 2001 World Championships without reaching the final. He became Spanish 5000 metres champion in 1995, and indoor 1500 metres champion in 1993. Gennaro Di Napoli (born 5 March 1968) is an Italian former middle distance runner. He won 13 medals at the International athletics competitions, 10 of these at senior level. Biography Di Napoli was born in Naples but moved early in his life to Lombardy, in northern Italy. He excelled in the distances from 800 to 3,000 meters. He won the silver medal at the European Championships in Split 1990 over 1500 metres. He missed out on a medal at the World Championships 1991. In 1992 Di Napoli scored a sensational victory over the world champion Noureddine Morceli from Algeria at the Golden Gala meeting in Rome. However, he got injured two weeks before the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992, where he participated, but failed to reach the final. Branko Zorko (born 1 July 1967) is a Croatian retired middle distance runner who specialized in the 1500 metres. Zorko competed in the 1500 metres in five Olympic Games, from 1988 to 2004, making it through to the semi-finals in 1992 and 1996. Marcus O'Sullivan (born in Cork, Ireland on 22 December 1961) is an Irish retired middle-distance runner. He competed for Ireland at four Summer Olympics. After Steve Scott and John Walker, he is the third all-time by total of sub-4 minute miles run over the course of his career, at 101. Nico Motchebon
Nico Motchebon (born 13 November 1969 in Berlin) is a former German 800 metres runner. His personal best of 1:43.91 was set on 31 July 1996 in the 800 m final of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, where he finished fifth.
