American League East
The American League East is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. MLB consists of an East, Central, and West division for each of its two 15-team leagues, the American League (AL) and National League (NL). This division was created before the start of the season along with the American League West division. Before that time, each league consisted of 10 teams without any divisions. Four of the division's five teams are located in the Eastern United States, with the other team, the Toronto Blue Jays, in Eastern Canada. John Doherty (pitcher)
John Harold Doherty (born June 11, 1967) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers and Boston Red Sox. A 1985 graduate of Eastchester High School in Eastchester, New York, Doherty was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 1989 Major League Baseball draft out of Concordia College in New York. He reached the majors in 1992 with the Tigers, spending four years with them before moving to the Boston Red Sox (1996). In his rookie year, he went 7–4 with a 3.88 ERA and 11 starts. Scott Phillip Aldred (born June 12, 1968) is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher and current minor league pitching coach. Early life Aldred was born in Flint, Michigan. He graduated in 1986 from Hill McCloy High School in Montrose, Michigan, a rural town just north of Flint. Playing career Aldred was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 16th round of the 1986 Major League Baseball Draft. Frank John Catalanotto (born April 27, 1974) is an American baseball coach and former infielder and left fielder, who is the current head baseball coach of the Hofstra Pride. Juan Alberto González Vázquez (born October 20, 1969) is a Puerto Rican former Major League Baseball outfielder.
