1992 Croatian Football Super Cup
The 1992 Croatian Football Super Cup was the first edition of the Croatian Football Super Cup, a football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Croatian First League and Croatian Football Cup competitions. The match was played on 18 July 1992 at Stadion Maksimir in Zagreb between the 1992 Croatian First League winners Hajduk Split and 1992 Croatian Football Cup winners Inker Zaprešić. The 1992 Supercup was the first competition of its kind in Croatia because the Supercup was never organised by the former Football Association of Yugoslavia. Croatian Football Super Cup
The Croatian Football Super Cup is a Association football, football match between the winners of the Croatian national Croatian Football League, top league and Croatian Football Cup, football cup. The Super Cup is always held at the beginning of a new football season, and is only held when different clubs win the two most important competitions in the previous season (i.e. the match is not played when a club completes Double (association football), the domestic double). Since the establishment of Croatian football competitions in 1992, the two local powerhouses GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Dinamo, HNK Hajduk Split, Hajduk and HNK Rijeka won doubles on twelve occasions (Dinamo Zagreb 11, Hajduk Split 1, Rijeka 1). Zvonimir Soldo
Zvonimir Soldo (born 2 November 1967) is a Croatian football manager and a former player. During his playing career, he mostly played as defensive midfielder. Club career Early career After studying law for six semesters at the University of Zagreb, Soldo's parents convinced him to pursue a career as professional football player. Soldo's professional career began with NK Dinamo Zagreb which he left for NK Zadar after two years. 1991 through 1994, he played for NK Inter Zaprešić before returning to his former club, now named NK Croatia Zagreb. Runner-up in both Croatian league and cup in his first season back at Zagreb, the next campaign saw Soldo's side complete a domestic double in 1995/96. Stipe Balajić
Stipe Balajić (born 27 September 1968) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player. Club career Balajić began his career in NK Junak Sinj. In 1992, he played for NK Zadar where he played in the Croatian first division, Prva HNL. During the next season he signed for HNK Hajduk Split where he played until 1994 when he returned to Zadar where he stayed for couple of months. His next stop in his career was NK Istra where he played for a season and a half until he joined HNK Šibenik in 1997. In total Balajić earned 136 appearances in the Croatian first division, scoring 15 goals in the process. After time spent in Prva HNL he joined his first and only club abroad, the Slovenian side NK Maribor, where he had his best years. Ardian Kozniku
Ardian Kozniku (born 27 October 1967) is a Kosovan-Croatian professional football coach and former player who most recently was the assistant manager of Al Faisaly. Playing career Club He started his career at Vëllaznimi from Gjakova and was later picked up by Prishtina. He moved to Croatian side Hajduk Split in 1990 and played there until 1994, scoring 90 goals in 169 games in all competitions for them. Ivica Mornar
Ivica Mornar (born 12 January 1974) is a Croatian retired footballer. He started as a striker, but was mostly deployed as a winger during his career. Mornar began his career with Hajduk Split before going on to play for Eintracht Frankfurt, Sevilla, CD Ourense, Standard Liège, Anderlecht and Portsmouth. Club career Mornar was born in Split. In Mornar's final season at Anderlecht, he scored a goal in a 1–1 home draw against Bayern Munich on 30 September 2003. Milan Rapaić (born 16 August 1973) is a Croatian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He primary played as an attacking midfielder or winger. Igor Štimac
Igor Štimac (; born 6 September 1967) is a Croatian football coach and former player who played as a centre back. He is the current head coach of the Indian national team. In his playing career, Štimac had three spells with Hajduk Split and also played for Cádiz in Spain, and for Derby County and West Ham United in England. He represented the Croatia national team 53 times, playing at Euro 1996 and at the 1998 World Cup, when Croatia finished third.
