During the 1991–92 English football season, West Ham United F.C. competed in the Football League First Division. Season summary 1991–92 was West Ham United's first season back in the First Division following promotion, ending a two-year absence from the top flight. However, their return to the First Division lasted just one season and they were relegated in bottom place, missing out on a place in the new FA Premier League, which would be created for the 1992-93 season. Their chances of survival were not helped by the fact that key players Trevor Morley and Julian Dicks missed large stretches of the season due to injury and off-field issues, such as the infamous Bond Scheme, which exacerbated the club's poor league form. Trevor Morley
Trevor William Morley (born 20 March 1961) is an English football manager, former professional footballer and pundit. As a player, he was a striker who notably played top flight football for Manchester City and West Ham United. He also played in the Football League for Northampton Town and Reading, as well as for Norwegian clubs Brann and Sogndal. He had initially began his career with non-league side Nuneaton Borough. He now resides in Norway and works as a pundit for TV 2. He also had a spell as manager of Norwegian fifth-tier side SK Bergen Sparta. Leroy De Graft Rosenior (born 24 August 1964) is a football coach and pundit. He is a former footballer whose clubs included Fulham, Queens Park Rangers (for whom he appeared as a substitute in the 1986 League Cup Final), Bristol City and West Ham United. Frank McAvennie
Francis McAvennie (born 22 November 1959) is a Scottish former footballer, who played as a striker for St Mirren, West Ham United and Celtic, having had two spells with each of these clubs. With Celtic he won the Scottish Premier Division in 1987–88 and the Scottish Cup in 1988. He was capped five times at senior level for Scotland during the 1980s, scoring one goal.
