FC Guria Lanchkhuti
FC Guria is a Georgian association football club from Lanchkhuti, which competes in Liga 3, the third tier of the national league. Being one of the strongest Georgian teams in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Guria have taken part in the Soviet Top league, also won the national Cup and played fifteen seasons in Umaglesi Liga, twice claiming silver medals. History Early period Formed in 1924 as FC Kimi, the team ceased to exist after the start of World War 2 and resumed functioning in 1952 under the name "Kolmeurne". In 1960 the club was renamed as Guria. The next year they gained a first title by becoming champions of the republican league. FC Meskheti (''Georgian'': საფეხბურთო კლუბი მესხეთი) is a defunct Georgian football club based in Akhaltsikhe. Most recently the club took part in Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of Georgian league system, although in the late 2000s they spent two seasons in the top division. Meskheti ceased their activities in early 2021. History Founded in 2005, the club initially participated in Pirveli Liga for the first two years. Meskheti finished 2nd in 2007 and gained promotion to Umaglesi Liga, where they spent two seasons. In 2008 certain financial problems hit the club, which was denied assistance from the local municipality. The next July, unable to meet the requirements necessary for a top-league team, Meskheti were expelled to the second division with 3 points deducted. Away Goals Rule
The away goals rule is a method of tiebreaker, tiebreaking in association football and other sports when teams play each other twice, once at each team's home ground. Under the away goals rule, if the total goals scored by each team are equal, the team that has scored more goals "Road (sports), away from home" wins. This is sometimes expressed by saying that away goals "count double" in the event of a tie, though in practice the team with more away goals is simply recorded as the victor, rather than having additional or 'double' goals added to their total. The away goals rule is most often invoked in two-legged tie, two-leg fixtures, where the initial result is determined by the aggregate score — i.e. the scores of both games are added together. FC Egrisi Senaki
FC Egrisi is a Georgian association football club based in the town of Senaki. The club competes in Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of Georgian football system. The team has played one season in the top flight. History The club had different names in 1940-60s and as Spartaki, Gantiadi, Tsiskari and Kolkheti participated in the Georgian domestic league. In the most memorable event in 1970, they won the republican Cup competition. Since then the football club has been competing under the current name. Egrisi played in Umaglesi Liga in the 1995–96 season, but they failed to secure their place in the league. The team has since been in low leagues with most of the seasons spent in the third division. FC Imereti (Georgian: საფეხბურთო კლუბი იმერეთი) is a Georgian association football club from the town of Khoni. They currently take part in Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of the national league system. History Founded in 1936, Imereti spent many years in Georgian Soviet championship under the name ''Imereti Tsulukidze''. The second division has been the highest league they participated at any time since 1990.
