The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States. The 1991 Colorado Buffaloes football team represented the University of Colorado at Boulder in the 1991 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by 10th year head coach Bill McCartney, played their home games in Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado, and were members of the Big Eight Conference. The Pop-Tarts Bowl is an annual college football bowl game that is played in Orlando, Florida, at Camping World Stadium. The bowl is operated by Florida Citrus Sports, a non-profit group which also organizes the Citrus Bowl and the Florida Classic. It was first played in 1990 in Miami Gardens, Florida, before moving to Orlando in 2001. Since it was commissioned as the ''Sunshine Classic'', it has undergone several name changes. The game has tie-ins with the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and Big 12 Conference. Charles Everett Johnson (January 3, 1972 – July 17, 2022) was an American professional football player who was a wide receiver for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, and Buffalo Bills from 1994 to 2002, having earlier played college football for the Colorado Buffaloes. Michael Deanailo Westbrook (born July 7, 1972) is a former American college and professional American football, football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) and is also a former mixed martial artist. Westbrook played college football for the University of Colorado, and was recognized as an All-American. Darian Hagan (born February 1, 1970) is a former American football and Canadian football player, who, from 2005–2022, was an assistant coach of the University of Colorado Buffaloes football team. College career As an option quarterback at Colorado from 1988 to 1991, Hagan produced impressive offensive statistics operating coach Bill McCartney's "I-Bone" offense. Due to veteran quarterback Sal Aunese being stricken with cancer, he took over the starting duties as a sophomore. Siran Stacy
Siran Stacy (born August 6, 1968) is a former American football running back. Early career Stacy played at the University of Alabama from 1989–91, after spending two years at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas. For the Crimson Tide, he was a two-year starter and two-time All- SEC performer. During his time at Alabama, Stacy rushed for 2,113 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also had 62 receptions for 574 yards for one touchdown. Professional career Stacy was drafted in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles as the 48th overall pick. After only playing one game in his rookie season, Stacy was released at the end of the season. In 1993, he tried out for the Cleveland Browns; however, he did not get a chance to join the team after being arrested for theft at a Kmart. He would later plead guilty to disorderly conduct.
