The 1990–91 season was the 49th in the history of Eastern Counties Football League a football competition in England. Wisbech Town were champions, winning their third Eastern Counties Football League title, while Braintree Town were promoted to the Southern Football League for the first time in their history. The Eastern Counties Football League, currently known as the Thurlow Nunn League for sponsorship purposes, is an English football league at levels 9 and 10 of the English football league system. It currently contains clubs from Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, eastern Cambridgeshire, eastern Hertfordshire, southern Lincolnshire, and north and east London. The league is a feeder to Division One North of the Isthmian League. Anglian Combination
The Anglian Combination (known as the Hadley & Ottaway Anglian Combination under the terms of a sponsorship deal) is an English football league that operates in the East Anglia area. The league specifically covers Norfolk and northern Suffolk with rules stating that clubs should be within a 50 miles radius from the centre of Norwich. It consists of 104 teams and has seven divisions – the Premier Division, Division One to Four plus the two regionalised divisions, Division Five North and South. Its top division is currently at step 7 (or level 11) of the National League System. A U19 Development Division was proposed to start in the 2014–15 season depending on interest. Swaffham () is a market town and civil parish in the Breckland District and English county of Norfolk. It is situated east of King's Lynn and west of Norwich. Brightlingsea is a coastal town and an electoral ward in the Tendring district of Essex, England. It is situated between Colchester and Clacton-on-Sea, at the mouth of the River Colne, on Brightlingsea Creek. At the 2011 Census, it had a population of 8,076. The 1991–92 Southern Football League season was the 89th in the history of the league, an English football competition. Bromsgrove Rovers won the Premier Division to earned promotion to the Football Conference. Wealdstone, Poole Town, Fisher Athletic (who had just been relegated from the Conference) and Gravesend & Northfleet were all relegated from the Premier Division, whilst Solihull Borough (in their first season in the Southern League), Hastings Town, Hednesford Town and Weymouth were all promoted to the Premier Division, the former two as champions. Brantham is a village and civil parish in the Babergh district of Suffolk, England. It is located close to the River Stour and the border with Essex, around north of Manningtree, and around southwest of Ipswich. History The name Brantham is of Old English origin - ''Brant'' for 'hill' and ''ham'' 'village' — hence, 'village on the hill'. Another possible translation may be 'burnt village', a name given after a Viking invasion coming up from the River Stour.
