1990–91 Divizia B
The 1990–91 Divizia B was the 51st season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to three series, each of them having 18 teams. At the end of the season, the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A and the last four places from each series relegated to Divizia C. Liga II
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The teams placed from 7th to 12th will play a relegation play-off, where the last two teams are relegated to Liga III. 1991–92 Divizia B
The 1991–92 Divizia B was the 52nd season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to three series, each of them having 18 teams. At the end of the season, the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A and the last six places from each series relegated to Divizia C. The number of the relegated teams was increased due to reducing the number of the teams in the league from 54 to 36, starting with the next season. CSM Flacăra Moreni
Club Sportiv Municipal Flacăra Moreni, (), commonly known as Flacăra Moreni or simply as Flacăra, is a Romanian football club based in Moreni, Dâmbovița County. The team was founded by English and Dutch engineers from the local oil rig as ''Astra-Română Moreni'' in 1922. During the communist period, Flacăra was taken over by the Securitate with the involvement of director Tudor Postelnicu, who had previously worked as an iron lathe operator in the city. In the 1988–89 season, the club finished fourth in the top flight and earned a place in the UEFA Cup. Flacăra lost 1–4 to Porto on aggregate in the first round, and at the end of the that campaign was relegated as a result of the fall of communism. It has since only played in the lower leagues. Șoimii Sibiu
Șoimii Sibiu (Falcons Sibiu) was a football team from Sibiu. They were founded in 1913 and disappeared in 2001. They were a main team in Sibiu, being four times regional champions of Sibiu. Their best pre-war performance was defeating the 6-time-in-a-row champion Chinezul Timişoara in 1927–28 quarter-finals. But after that they forfeited their semi-final tie against Jiul Lupeni. They also played three seasons in the Divizia A : 1932–33, 1933–34, 1950, but without notable performances. FC Callatis Mangalia
Callatis Mangalia was a Romanian professional football club from Mangalia, Constanța County, founded in 1962 and dissolved in 2015. History The club was founded in 1962 under the name of ''Metalul Mangalia'' and until 1990 was financially sustained by the Mangalia Military Shipyard. Callatis promoted to the Liga II at the end of the 2010–11 season, after winning the Seria II of the Liga III. It managed to finish higher than its main rival Unirea Slobozia. It returned to the Liga II after an absence of 5 years, last playing there in the 2005–06 season. Just 4 days before the start of the 2012–13 Liga II it withdrew from the championship because of financial difficulties. FCM Dunărea Galați
Dunărea Galați was a Romanian professional football club from Galați, Galați county, south-east Romania, founded in 1970. The club was dissolved in 2014. History The club was founded in 1970, took the place of Oțelul Galați in Divizia B and has played for 5 seasons in the Liga I. For a brief period, it was Galați's main team, but after the rise of Oțelul in the 1980s, it is seen only in the Liga II and the Liga III. They were supposed to be relegated to Liga III at the end of the 2007–08 season, but they managed to maintain their second league position due to the withdrawal of FCM Câmpina. The 2009–10 season started well, the team reaching the Round of 32 of the Romanian Cup, being eliminated by cup holders CFR Cluj. They finished 11th in the league. CSM Borzești was a Romania football club from Onești, Bacău County. In 1994 the club merged with Electromecon Onești to form FC Onești. The Liga 3, most often spelled as Liga III, is the third level of the Romanian football league system. Its name was changed from Divizia C to Liga III before the start of the 2006–07 season.
