1990–91 2. Bundesliga
The 1990–91 2. Bundesliga season was the seventeenth season of the 2. Bundesliga, the second tier of the German football league system. It was the last season in which the league consisted of West German clubs only. From 1991–92 onwards clubs from the former East Germany joined the league. FC Schalke 04, MSV Duisburg and Stuttgarter Kickers were promoted to the Bundesliga while Rot-Weiss Essen, Preußen Münster, TSV Havelse and FC Schweinfurt 05 were relegated to the Oberliga. FC Schalke 04
Fußballclub Gelsenkirchen-Schalke 04 e. 1991–92 Bundesliga
The 1991–92 Bundesliga was the 29th season of the Bundesliga, Germany's premier football league. It began on 2 August 1991 and ended on 16 May 1992. 1. FC Kaiserslautern were the defending champions. As Germany had been reunified on 3 October 1990, this was the first season that the Bundesliga contained teams from the former East Germany. Competition modus Owing to the incorporation of two teams from former East Germany, the number of clubs was extended to 20, being reduced to the ″traditional″ number of 18 immediately after this one season. Hence, the season consisted of 38 matchdays. Every team played two games against each other team, one at home and one away. Teams received two points for a win and one point for a draw. If two or more teams were tied on points, places were determined by goal difference and, if still tied, by goals scored. Sp.Vg. Blau-Weiß 1890 Berlin, generally referred to as Blau-Weiß 90, was a German association football club based in the Mariendorf district of Berlin. VfL Osnabrück is a German multi-sport club in Osnabrück, Lower Saxony. SC Preußen Münster (English: Prussia Münster) is a German sports club based in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia which is mostly recognised for its football section. SV Meppen is a German association football club playing in Meppen, Lower Saxony. The club was founded on 29 November 1912 as ''Amisia Meppen'' and joined ''Männer-Turnverein Meppen'' on 8 February 1920 to form ''TuS Meppen 1912''. Fußball-Club 08 Homburg or simply FC Homburg is a German association football club based in Homburg, Saarland, that competes in the Regionalliga Südwest. Rot-Weiss Essen is a German association football club based in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The club currently plays in the 3. Liga, at the Stadion an der Hafenstraße.
