Yoshio Sakurauchi
was a Japanese politician and a significant member of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). He was speaker of the House of Representatives of which he was a member for 53 years. Early life and education Sakurauchi was born in Tokyo on 8 May 1912. He was the son of Yukio Sakurauchi, a lower house member and finance minister. Yoshio Sakurauchi attended the Keio schools from kindergarten through Keio University. His brother, Kimio, served as president (from 1961) and chairman of the board of directors (from 1971) at Chugoku Electric. Career Sakurauchi began his political career in 1947 when he was first elected to the lower house of Parliament. His constituency included Kashima. He served at the lower house for 18 terms. Eisaku Satō
was a Japanese politician who served as Prime Minister from 1964 to 1972. He is the third-longest serving Prime Minister, and ranks second in longest uninterrupted service as Prime Minister. Satō entered the National Diet in 1949 as a member of the Liberal Party. Gradually rising through the ranks of Japanese politics, he held a series of cabinet positions. In 1964 he succeeded Hayato Ikeda as Prime Minister, becoming the first Prime Minister to have been born in the 20th century. As Prime Minister, Satō presided over a period of rapid economic growth. He arranged for the formal return of Okinawa (Ryukyu Islands; occupied by the United States since the end of the Second World War) to Japanese control. Satō brought Japan into the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, for which he received the Nobel Peace Prize as a co-recipient in 1974. Masaya Kitamura
Masaya () is the capital city of Masaya Department in Nicaragua. It is situated approximately 14 km west of Granada and 31 km southeast of Managua. It is located just east of the Masaya Volcano, an active volcano from which the city takes its name. With an estimated population of 136,584 (2021), it is Nicaragua's fourth most populous city, and is culturally known as the City of Flowers. History It is believed that the Niquiranos were the first people to dwell in the land of Masaya (the Chorotegas had also inhabited these areas).
