The 1990 Tour de Romandie was the 44th edition of the Tour de Romandie cycle race and was held from 8 May to 13 May 1990. The race started in Moutier and finished in Geneva. Charly Mottet
Charly Mottet (born 16 December 1962 in Valence, Drôme) is a French former professional cyclist (1983 to 1994). He was one of the best French road cyclists of his era. His daughter, Eva Mottet, was also a road racing cyclist. She competed as a junior at the 2012 UCI Road World Championships, where she heavily crashed in the women's junior road race. Charly Mottet was an UCI-official at the race. Eva would never fully recover. Michael Wilson (cyclist)
Michael Wilson (born 15 January 1960) is a former Australian racing cyclist. He rode in nine Grand Tours between 1982 and 1989. He also rode in two events at the 1980 Summer Olympics. Wilson set the fastest time in the amateur Goulburn to Sydney Classic in 1978 run from Goulburn to Liverpool. Rolf Järmann
Rolf Järmann (born 31 January 1966 in Arbon) is a retired road bicycle racer from Switzerland, who was a professional rider from 1988 to 1999. He twice won the Amstel Gold Race (1993 and 1998) during his career. He was the Swiss National Road Race champion in 1990. He won the Tour de Pologne in 1997. He won a stage in the 1989 Giro d'Italia, the 1992 Tour de France and also won the 1998 Tirreno-Adriatico. According to a Cyclingnews.com report, in his book ''Doping, Spitzensport als gesellschaftliches Problem'' (Doping, Top Sport as a Social Problem), Järmann admits to using EPO. Pascal Simon
Pascal Simon (born 27 September 1956) is a retired French road racing cyclist. A native of Mesnil St. Loup, he was a professional cyclist from 1979 to 1991. Pascal was the oldest of four brothers that all became professional cyclists: Régis, Jerôme and François. In 1983, Simon obtained the yellow jersey while riding for Cycles Peugeot after the tenth stage of the Tour de France. One day later, Simon fell down and broke his shoulder. Simon continued for six more days, before the injury forced him out of the race. Stephen Hodge (born 18 July 1961) is an Australian former cyclist. He was a professional between 1987 and 1996. Hodge rode 14 Grand Tours in his career managing to finish every one he started. Biography After retirement, he became Vice President of Cycling Australia. Hodge was a founding member and a board member of the Amy Gillett Foundation. Hodge is now a cycling ambassador and works for We Ride Australia, a campaign to increase cycling and reduce carbon output. Philippa York (born Robert Millar on 13 September 1958) is a Scottish journalist and former professional road racing cyclist. York, who competed when known as Robert Millar, is one of Britain's most successful cyclists. York won the "King of the Mountains" competition in the 1984 Tour de France and finished fourth overall. This success was the first time a British rider won a major Tour classification, and was unsurpassed as the highest Tour finish for a Briton for over 20 years until Bradley Wiggins was retrospectively placed third in the 2009 Tour de France. Moutier () is a municipality in Switzerland. Currently, the town belongs to the Jura bernois administrative district of the canton of Bern.
