The 1990 NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament was the ninth annual tournament hosted by the NCAA to determine the national champion of Division II women's collegiate basketball in the United States. Defending champions Delta State defeated Bentley in the championship game, 77–43, claiming the Lady Statesmen's second NCAA Division II national title. The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks women's basketball team, also formerly known as the Southeast Missouri State Otahkians, represents Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The school's team currently competes in the Ohio Valley Conference. History Southeast Missouri State began play in 1975, with Division I play beginning in 1991. The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats are the athletic teams for Northwest Missouri State University, located in Maryville, Missouri. The Bearcats play in the NCAA Division II. Northwest is a founding member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in 1912 and has remained in the conference ever since.
