KNGO
KNGO (1480 AM) is a commercial Vietnamese full service radio station licensed to serve Dallas, Texas, and covering the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It calls itself "Viet Radio" and simulcasts its programming with KGOW (1560 AM) in Bellaire, Texas. Owned by Hammond Broadcasting Group, LLC, the KNGO transmitter is located off of South Saint Augustine Road in Dallas. History The station signed on as KGKO in 1952, which played a mixture of pop music and jazz. In 1958, KGKO changed its call sign to KBOX, adopting a Top 40 format to compete with Gordon McLendon's top-rated KLIF (1190 AM). The KBOX call sign was chosen because the station was owned by John F. Box. Future WABC disc jockey Dan Ingram was an early voice on KBOX. German Moreno
German Molina Moreno (; October 4, 1933 – January 8, 2016), also known as Kuya Germs ( or ) and dubbed as "The Master Showman", was a Filipino television host, presenter, actor, comedian, talent manager, producer, writer, and director. Early life Moreno was born to Jose Moreno y Calvo (Pepe), a Spanish Filipino mestizo, and Aurora Molina, a Filipina. He had one sister, Pilar Moreno Nite. His father died after an incident involving an American soldier. Moreno first worked for an aunt's taxi company and also sold ''bibingka'', peanuts, and cigarettes. He also became a jeepney barker. Bobby Guanzon
Roberto "Bobby" Samar Guanzon (June 20, 1948 – December 18, 2016) was a Filipino radio and television broadcaster and politician. Career Guanzon started as an anchorman and one of the pioneering members of DZAQ Radyo Patrol of ABS-CBN from 1968 until it was shut down due to martial law declaration. He later became anchor of radio stations DZXL and DZBB ("Tawag Pansin") in the 1980s and in DWWW in the 1990s. It is also had a TV version aired on BBC before the People Power Revolution.
