The 1988 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were held on 8–12 December 1987 in Brisbane, Australia. The event was sanctioned by the International Skating Union and open to ISU member nations. Marcus Christensen (born April 2, 1970) is a Canadian former competitive figure skater. He is the 1988 Grand Prix International St. Gervais champion, the 1988 Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, the 1992 Prague Skate bronze medalist, and a three-time Canadian national medalist (silver in 1995, bronze in 1993 and 1996). Christensen's highest ISU Championship placements were ninth at the 1988 Junior Worlds in Brisbane and tenth at the 1993 Worlds in Prague. Junko Yaginuma (figure Skater)
is a Japanese former figure skater who is now a figure skating commentator. She is the 1993 Winter Universiade champion and a two-time World Junior silver medalist (1988–89). Kristine Tsuya Yamaguchi (born July 12, 1971) is an American former figure skater. In ladies' singles, Yamaguchi is the 1992 Olympic champion, a two-time World champion (1991 and 1992), and the 1992 U.S. champion.
