Anne-Cathrine Herdorf
Anne-Cathrine Herdorf, (born 10 July 1967 in Copenhagen), is a Danish singer and actress who represented Denmark with the group Bandjo at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest. Performing the song "En lille melodi" ("A little tune" / English recording title: "A Simple Little Song") she finished in 5th place with 83 points. Eurovision Song Contest 1987
The Eurovision Song Contest 1987 was the 32nd edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Brussels, Belgium, following the country's victory at the with the song "J'aime la vie" by Sandra Kim. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster RTBF, Radio-télévision belge de la Communauté française (RTBF), the contest was held at the Brussels Expo, Centenary Palace on 9 May 1987 (also Europe Day) and was hosted by French-Belgian singer Viktor Lazlo. Twenty-two countries took part in the contest with and returning to the competition after their absences the previous year. This set the record for the highest number of competing countries up until that point. Denmark was represented by Anne-Cathrine Herdorf (supported by the group Bandjo), with the song "En lille melodi", at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 9 April in Brussels. "En lille melodi" was chosen as the Danish entry at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on 28 February. Before Eurovision Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1987 The final was held at the Tivoli in Copenhagen, hosted by Jørgen Mylius. Ten songs took part with the winner being decided by voting from five regional juries in two rounds. Firstly the five lowest-placed songs were eliminated without full voting being revealed, then the remaining five were voted on again to give the winner. Esben Bjerre Hansen (born 8 February 1987 in Sejs, Silkeborg) is a Danish radio and television host, best known for his job as radio host in the popular radio programme Monte Carlo at DR P3 along with his co-host Peter Falktoft. Joakim or Joacim is a male given name primarily used in Scandinavian languages and Finnish. It is derived from a transliteration of the Hebrew יהוֹיָקִים, and literally means "lifted by Jehovah".
