1987 Supertaça Cândido De Oliveira
The 1987 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was the 9th edition of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, the annual Portuguese football season-opening match contested by the winners of the previous season's top league and cup competitions (or cup runner-up in case the league- and cup-winning club is the same). The 1987 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was contested over two legs, and opposed Benfica and Sporting CP of the Primeira Liga. Benfica qualified for the SuperCup by winning the 1986–87 Primeira Divisão and the 1986–87 Taça de Portugal, whilst Sporting CP qualified for the Supertaça by being the cup-runner. The first leg which took place at the Estádio da Luz, saw Sporting CP defeat Benfica 3–0. The Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira (; English: Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup, or simply Portuguese Super Cup) is an annual Portuguese football match played since 1979 between the winners of the Portuguese League (Primeira Liga) and Portuguese Cup (Taça de Portugal). When a team wins both competitions (thus achieving the double (''dobradinha'')), it plays again against the Cup runners-up. The Supertaça has been organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since 1981 and is usually played in August, right before the start of the league season. Francisco Carlos (born 26 April 1963), known as Chiquinho Carlos, is a Brazilian retired footballer who played as a forward. Rui Águas (footballer)
José Rui Lopes Águas (born 28 April 1960) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a striker, and is a current manager. He had highly successful spells at two of the biggest clubs in Portugal, Benfica and Porto, amassing Primeira Liga totals of 292 games and 121 goals over 12 seasons. Águas represented the Portugal national team at the 1986 World Cup. Fernando Albino de Sousa Chalana (; 10 February 1959 – 10 August 2022) was a Portuguese football player and manager. Gery Tueba Menayame (born 13 March 1963), known simply as Tueba, is a Congolese retired footballer who played as a right midfielder. Elzo Aloísio Coelho (born 22 January 1961), better known as Elzo, is a retired Brazilian footballer who played for the national team, a number of Brazilian clubs and Portuguese Benfica. Playing career Elzo made 87 appearances in the Campeonato Brasileiro, most of them for Atlético Mineiro. He then played in Benfica. Carlos Eduardo Deus Pereira (born 25 December 1962) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played mainly as a right-back.
