The 1987 CONCACAF U-16 Championship was a North American international association football tournament, it determined the 1987 FIFA U-16 World Championship entrants from the CONCACAF region. The 1987 edition of the competition was held in Honduras. First round Group A Group B Final Group Mexico and USA qualified to the 1987 FIFA U-16 World Championship in Canada. 1985 CONCACAF U-17 Championship
The 1985 CONCACAF U-16 Championship was the second tournament in the Under-16 category organized by the CONCACAF, and it also served as qualifying tournament for the U-16 world cup to be held at China. Mexico hosted the event between April 13 and 26, and Mexico (as champion) and Costa Rica (as runner-up) won the two spots for China 1985. Competition format The first stage consisted of two groups, one with five teams and another with four teams, where top two advance to semifinals. In the second round, the champion and runner-up obtain final spots for China 1985. CONCACAF Under-17 Championship
The CONCACAF U-17 Championship is an international association football event in the North America, Central America and the Caribbean region, and is the qualification tournament for the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Results In 2009 the tournament returned to a championship format in which all four semifinalists qualify to the FIFA U-17 World Cup. The 2009 tournament was cut short due to the swine flu outbreak in Mexico. No championship round was played as a result of the cancellation, and the tournament ended with four teams qualifying to the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup without determining a regional champion.
